  1. I'll start saving now ... will probably have to buy both box sets.
  2. Username "mignulikz" Someone please whack this mole. Thanks.
  3. ...making him no different from millions of other people in this country. Exactly.
  4. Team USA Happy To Be Back Playing For Money From The Onion, of course. Not sure why they picked Chipper Jones to pick on, but it would be funny no matter who they featured. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Team USA Happy To Be Back Playing For Money MIAMI
  5. If it doesn't happen tonight, tune in again on NBA draft day.
  6. I was going to say "Swiss citizenship," but that's a lame joke anyway.
  7. I've taken that one before. Looks like it's been slightly updated. My Political Views I am a far-left social libertarian Left: 7.98, Libertarian: 3.83
  8. I was with you until "corporate arrogance and bad decisions." Substitute "political corruption and white flight" and maybe you'd have something.
  9. From this article: How about telling your kids that there are more important things than sports? Moron.
  10. I think most albums* work best when heard all the way through, but maybe that's just me. * Most that I would bother to own, anyway. Britney Spears albums, for example, don't qualify.
  11. I put this one on Calhoun. Those kids tried to run with State, and that's the one thing they can't do. The whole second half, they tried to push the ball up the floor, and it usually ended in one of their guards completely forgetting that he had four teammates and forcing up a bad shot. UConn is the better team if they maintain their discipline and run their offense, but that transition stuff wasn't working for them and Calhoun should have called timeout with about ten minutes left (or even earlier) and put a stop to it. He never did, and that's why they lost ... in my opinion. Fuck. Now I
  12. Not me. I usually support the Big Ten, but I make an exception when it's those guys.
  13. Maybe not in this thread, but it's definitely gotten some love here. I've praised it myself in the now playing thread more than once.
  14. It's an alternate mix of the third (self-titled) album, done by Lou Reed, that differs from the mix most people heard. It's available as part of the Peel Slowly And See box set. The Wikipedia page for that album has a bit more info.
  15. I remember Lamar Johnson. One of my favorite players back in the day. Hopefully his team fares far better against Division II competition.
  16. Doesn't take the marketing people long, does it?
  17. Pittsburgh Pirates lose to Manatee Community College A news story points out that the team fielded by the Pirates consisted of minor-league-level players, and no one higher than double-A played in the last five innings. But still.
  18. Depends on how you look at it, I guess. Favre basically held his team hostage and made it impossible for them to plan for the coming year in terms of personnel. And he did it more than once. I laughed my ass off when the Packers cut him loose, because they finally got so tired of his bullshit that they parted ways with the face of their franchise. Not to diminish Cutler's douchebaggery in any way. Clearly a dick move, and if I were a Broncos fan I'd be making plans to throw shit at him the next time he's in town.
  19. QB was the main issue, and has been for decades. You are correct, however, in the sense that the Bears have lots of other holes, starting with the receivers, and also in the offensive line (which looks reasonably solid but is thin in terms of depth) and their much-vaunted defense (which is great at linebacker but weak elsewhere). As for the Tribune columnist, he's confusing being an immature asshole with being a poor quarterback. One does not necessarily equal the other. In fact, I'd say that a whole lot of great quarterbacks have been immature assholes. Doesn't anyone remember Brett Favre's
  20. I have Blow Your Cool! on vinyl, and was actually listening to it the other day (for the first time in about 20 years).
