  1. Some serious hard-pan on this record I just accidentally discovered on "Where Do I Begin" playing only the left channel, if you just want to listen to Jeff sing.
  2. Yes. I think linclink is right, but I'm holding onto hope that my trivial preference for Taste The Ceiling to start side B will come true. At least there's no chance for my pet peeve of a double record of
  3. but You Satellite has a fade-out ending!
  4. My question is whether side B of the LP will start with Taste The Ceiling or Pickled Ginger.
  5. But was Jaws ever his scene?
  6. Oh come on, one is like "doo, ba doo, ba doo, ba doo, ba doo, ba doo, ba doo, ba da dum" and the other is like "bah! bah! ba da ba-da da!"
  7. "little"? I think it's the best track pairing on a Wilco album.
  8. Wilco Watch: Glenn doesn't drum on this record but is thanked in the liner notes Also, this record is fantastic and everyone should be listening to it.
  9. Did not expect an allusion to Queen's "Don't Stop Me Now", that's worth the price of admission right there.

  11. More details, anticipation building.... http://pitchfork.com/news/59164-jim-orourke-announces-new-album-simple-songs/
  12. I'd say so. Features Jeff and Glenn, too.
  13. http://www.stereogum.com/1792679/jim-orourkes-simple-songs-out-next-month/news/ Hell yes. Hell. Yes.
  14. To add very little substance to this discussion: $45 is what I want to pay for a Wilco show, $65 is what I would pay for a Wilco show, $85 would need an amazing opener or special event. It's a weird psychology pricing these things, as tangible things add up to $85 pretty quick, or monthly cable bills...
  15. Listening to BAITUSA and goddammit I'd love another Loose Fur record. Sukierae scratches a bit of the itch, but I need more Jim! Particularly more "Answers To Your Questions" Jim.
  16. I think it's remarkable that after so many years in so many projects, Tweedy can knock out 20 songs of this quality. This album really has a spirit to it. The past couple Wilco records sounded great, but I felt they were lacking character. Now there is no excuse for the next one.
  17. I need to hear it. Loose fur! Loose fur!
  18. Agreed, it's great to hear a less dense mix. Also, "ELT" sounds like "Camera".
  19. You think they have the patience for eight more years? I'd bet there's whiteboard somewhere with: 2015 LP9 2016 Tour EP 2017 YHF 15th
  20. Just gonna add what I don't see here: Rhythm – Wildbirds & Peacedrums La Isla Bonita – Deerhoof Drop – Thee Oh Sees The Voyager – Jenny Lewis
  21. Nobody has added their imaginary-should-have-beens yet, so I'll give it a try. I listened to the vinyl set today, which I enjoyed, but some sides stray into slog territory. It's also a bit lopsided where after three LPs the fourth is still covering AGIB stuff, 2003 to 2011! So I've been tinkering with an imaginary vinyl playlist that's a more even and listenable 3 LPs. I took out all of the covers (with one exception), focused on non-album tracks (except the ones I didn't like) and padded it out with Whole Love extras. LP1 1994 - 2000 1. Childlike And Evergreen (Demo) 2. Someone Else's Song
