Anyone get misty-eyed when Jin was looking at the photos of Ji Yeon? because I ... probably didn't, being very masculine and all.

and yet somebody's grateful for it. also, I haven't been to a show recently, but is it true Muzzle of Bees now goes "half of it's me, half of it's you doing what I tell you to do"?

I still can't even guess what Widmore is up to. The way he stifled a smirk when Sawyer laid out his deal is perplexing. Sawyer assumes Widmore is against UnLocke, and while the pylons do speak to that, nothing else does. Is he smiling because he knows UnLocke can't be killed? because he's happy it's MiB and not Jacob? because it's irrelevant to whatever he's really up to? UnLocke has a very similar reaction to Sawyer afterwards, though his surprise when Sawyer names Widmore seems genuine, even if it could be completely fake in an episode about con-games.

This episode is the stuff.

Ben is redeemed in sideways world? I saw that because of his one pet student and because he sucks at blackmail, he denies an entire school, generations of students, from a better education. I wonder where Rousseau is in sideways land.

With two hosts, I was surprised that it often felt like no hosts, though I did tune in late, so maybe they were rushing. I like Martin, even if some of his jokes are old. I thought the paranormal parody was hilarious.

That was pretty good, though it'd be tough with guests who aren't stephen fry. i always wondered why every late night show follows the same goddamn pattern of monologue/desk/guest/comedy bit/guest/musical guest(or cooking!). I was hoping Conan would shake things up with the Tonight Show, but there was probably pressure to keep it familiar. Hopefully if Conan gets a new talk show, he'll have a bit of Ferguson's spirit, and put some variety into it.

Lonoong SONGS that you wish would go on even longer
tongue-tied replied to PopTodd's topic in Someone Else's Song
I thought the "Love" remix proved the opposite. -
I'm going to once again mention Grandaddy. I think Jason Lytle is my favorite writer of sad songs. "The Warming Sun" Oh I wish I really could enjoy the warming sun enjoy a warm someone and end the need to hide away alone inside "Beautiful Ground" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=81unzsXud7k

In admiring Jim's lyrics on the Loose Fur records, it has occurred to me that "Thou Shalt Wilt" doesn't follow the Catholic version of the ten commandments. Now I'm wondering if it's simply another version, or mixing them together. Also, I'm wondering if some of the jokes are going over my head. Let's look at the lyrics: Either "You shall not covet thy neighbor's good" or, additionally, "his wife". So, cut off your neighbor's heat and they'll leave, therefor voiding the signifier "neighbor", leaving their goods for you to covet? More likely this is suggesting to harass your neighbors

Thumbs down to this episode. Kate episodes are never great, but this touched Lost-parody way too many times (Jack grabs Kate's arm: "Be careful", piano music chimes in). WTF moments felt unearned, and I nearly yelled at the screen every time Dogen wasted time with his shifty eyes when he has splaining to do.

I heard it was Animal Collective next year.

The way Pete exposed his gut during his windmills was obscene.
