  1. Thinking the same thing. Next album could be very The Band or Exile era Stones
  2. did Jeff say "so solid gold" after PKB?
  3. this lineup absolutely nails pot kettle black. great tune.
  4. Oh well no photos. Can't really complain...cold beer and live Wilco from the comfort of my own couch!
  5. That's probably right. There are several pictures of Jeff playing it the last few nights in the photos posted on Flickr. Looks very sweet and very vintage.
  6. poor places intro...chill bumps listening right now
  7. Thanks for the info. That guitar is great looking. Any one know the age/origin of the Martin?
  8. Thanks so much for the MP3's...Charleston can't get here fast enough. Amazing band, amazing stuff!
  9. My wife and I will be there. Staying at the Hampton Inn (I think) by the PAC. Planning on heading to the sports bar that is supposedly within walking distance. Hearing some stuff from the last few nights in Chicago has got me extremely fired up for Charleston...can't wait!
  10. If this entry should be somewhere else, I apologize... From some of the pictures posted from the first two residency shows, I am seeing some guitars I have not seen before. Specifically a dark red or maybe dark brown Tele with a darker wood neck that Jeff is playing. And also, it looks like he broke out an antique Martin 000 or OM. It is a sunburst finish and might be the same guitar he was holding on the cover of Acoustic Guitar Player in an issue last summer (May or June '07.) Any of you other gear fanatics at these shows or seen the pictures and can make a positive ID? Maybe the fact

    Grammys

I don't know about checking for ticks...but Brad Paisley can damn sure play the guitar. The thought of Wilco sitting through some of these presenters and performers is making this quite entertaining!
  12. Good review UrbanJesus. What year did you get, and which early models (pre-?) might present the issues with the bridge? Also, do you use it more for finger picking, rythm, flat picking? Thanks.
  13. Guess the wife and I will hit the Spotz Cafe before the show since it sounds like the only option within walking distance. We are more or less just looking for a place to kill time and have some drinks before the show, so this sounds like the best option that doesn't involve going downtown and then having to worry about getting back out for the show. Looking forward to a good night...
  14. There's also a magazine ad for D'Addario strings in which Jeff is holding one. I often see it in Acoustic Guitar magazine. These are on eBay fairly often, and I have always considered trying to get one. It seems to me they were produced for a fairly short period of time (something like '63-'72 or thereabouts.) I want to say they usually sell for $800 - $1200 depending on the vintage. They definitely have a cool vibe with the double white pickguards.
  15. '06 Santa Cruz 000-12 '05 Martin 000-15 '90 Alvarez Yairi GY-1 (Jerry Garcia) '91 Rickenbacker 360 '88? Gibson Melody Maker
  16. Anywhere near the Performing Arts Center (walking distance) to have some drinks or food before the show?
  17. Thanks to everyone for your replies.
  18. I'll be in Charleston, but I would love for them to come on down to Savannah. Maybe some more southern dates will fill the void between New Haven and Charleston...

    wtf!!!!!!!!

Sorry to brag, but I logged in at 10:00 and got two 5th row middle seats for Charleston. System seemed to work fine for me.
  20. Anybody tabbed JT's version? I think Dylan's recording is an open or alternate tuning, but I am not sure if this one is.
