Make that Heywood. And just like that he shows up in Tift Merritt's band when I saw them Friday.

I would be very surprised if alcohol is not available. I've never been to any event at a museum that didn't involve alcohol but I don't know for certain.

I just listen to Sleigh Bells over and over.

Those shows with his wife were cool, more "punk" attitude than his solo outings which usually had interruptions for crowds talking, bottles breaking, etc. Seems I saw him with a band once for The Hill Release but maybe I'm confused. Then there was the tour with Alejandro with Hector, Ganz and seems like Eric Heyward, iirc.

Get the Shoes Eccentric Beats Numero remix, highly recommended.

I only know them from the Straight Out Of Boone County Bloodshot comp I bought about 13 years ago. Never even put the two together but I see Smith was a big part of the Volebeats. Reading their bio, it looks as if everyone went to different bands, didn't look to be a stable line up for them. this write up is most interesting: http://www.scaruffi.com/vol5/volebeat.html

Outrageous Cherry was added to the Solid Sound Festival and I am super excited. Anyone else a fan? I first ran across them with a review of Supernatural Equinox in Mojo. Seems like it was a couple of years after it came out here in 2003. Sounded like a good cd so I took a chance and was not disappointed. It has that 60's psych throwback sound like the best stuff of BJM ("Let's Pretend It's Summer" for example). Some good rockers, too. For some reason I've never gotten another of their cds until today. (I've sampled their last 2 cds and they didn't strike me as something i'd like a lot so I

I was just thinking as Thurston and Kim are in Northampton and Nels has collaborated with Thurston and Lee before, etc, etc. Not complaining about the line up LouieB, but a boy can wish can't he?

http://i30.tinypic.com/2zxv7ev.jpg I was hoping for at least some of these people to grace the stage.

That poster on the solidsoundfestival site has Outrageous Cherry listed, also, which hasn't been announced. That's a nice addition.

What's the consensus on Wilco (The Album)?

I think you're right on the sound of the songs. -
Wow! This sounds great, even my wife noticed. That's saying something. Don't like that version of "Kamera," though. It's too laid back and uninvolving for my tastes.

"Say A Little Prayer" cracks me up. "Foweva, Foweva..." -

This is a nice listen. Some of the songs I could do without, mostly the more obscure tracks, but the majority are really good. Thurston's "Always Something There To Remind Me" is especially tasty. -
nels likes 'em tall, she's 5' 10" according to wiki.

I had to figure out who these girrrrls were: http://thosedarlins.com/index.htm?id=17101 kind of all over the place, like freakwater meets the black lips. wonder if they make out on stage?

http://tinylink.in/285 looks good.

I was watching that show the other day on the DVR and wondered the same thing myself.

that's 99,000.

I bet they end up with Dave Matthews' label, at least in a distribution move.

from reading other recent threads around here, it may have to do with people filming the band rather than photos. unfortunately, with new phones and cameras it's hard to police who is filming and who is just snapping a photo. Jeff supposedly got on someone in Miami, read about it in that thread.

See, I did read it wrong. Thanks. All I know is it sounds real good.
