i would have rather had an artist the caliber of john doe (legend) or retribution gospel choir (my flavor of the month/year) than bon iver from what i heard on the performance on pitchfork.tv. that is one reason why i'm miffed. another is that in the intervening 8 months , my work schedule has changed and the weekday date may coincide with when i'm out of town rather that the previously scheduled friday night date. it's still so far away that i can't even figure it out yet. hey, it's not that difficult to understand that a rescheduled date may not work out for a lot of people when it's move

ok, i agree it's not worth much monetarily. maybe a buck off of amazon or itunes but that'd be about it and i'm not even sure you can buy it at those sites. well, i checked and you can't buy the song individually at itunes or amazon. pretty idiotic. so yeh, i say go swipe it somewhere. it's not worth buying the whole album for that song. yet another really stupid music industry move.

maybe you should actually purchase the song if you want it that bad.

i read elsewhere that the songs are cocredited to brendan and jack but can't confirm that on my lps after a very quick inspection. good record but a little too white stripes compared to the first cd for my taste. sounds great, though.

pick up the children of nuggets box. tons of singles from great bands on that compilation and will provide you with a great resource to hear what you like and then delve deeper. some of my favorites on their are the long ryders, the three o'clock, chesterfield kings, cramps, smithereens, and fuzztones off the top of my head.

i'm pretty sure yhf is out of print as of recently. maybe they'll press more but that vinyl was through sundazed whereas they've had a different distribution for the more recent releases.

my two bits on the subject, the band was mediocre, and the show was lame, but i did like the obama cartoon.

my wife keeps trying to make me feel better about the charleston postponement by telling me i can catch 'em on snl. my suggestion is that they add a second charleston date in august to make amends. the first sod out in a few days and i'm sure they could get a second sellout in a few weeks time. it'd be a treat for the longtime fans.
