  1. No kidding! I tried that for the first time yesterday too! Mad.
  2. Agreed, I always move any song in G up to A. Actually, I probably play with a capo on 2 more than I play open.
  3. E -----------------| B -----------------| G -------0---------| D ---3------3------| This part is really A -1---1------1----| D -----------------| E ----------------------| B ----------------------| G --------2-----2-0---| D ----3------3---------| A -1---1-------------1-| D ----------------------| Or something close to that, I don't have my guitar handy.
  4. Anybody interested in this? I'm planning to work on it during the three-day weekend (woot) but I'm also hoping someone has beat me to it. Real Question: Does anybody have it? If not... :Does anybody want it? Edit: Found it! This is from the archives- Theologians First, the Latin. This is my best stab at what JT's saying, but I don't know Latin so it's a blind stab at best. The first two words mean illiterate light which is a no-brainer since that's what he says later. The last word means "faith, trust or confidence" according to the first latin-english dictionary that came up on Go
  5. Good, now I have a reason to use a capo on my electric, I've always felt like a wuss.
  6. I had this idea for a capo that would not actually clamp down on all the strings but instead allow you to choose what strings you want capoed, allowing you to hit alternate tunings without the tuning part. However, I just found a capo that did exactly this. Anybody have this? Heard of it? I'm really interested as I'm always moving inbetween tunings and that puts a lot of stress on my guitars; stress I would like to avoid. Is it worth the $12?
  7. Someone had photos of them at one of the living room shows, I think it was the most recent. Looked like Hohner Blues Harps to me, pretty sweet.
  8. I don't even use those stupid augmented, suspended chords. Plain old D, G, and A for me, baby. But, you can hear the difference, if you're a geek.
  9. There's a tab of it somewhere around here... But, until someone finds that: Capo on 2 It's A Em D for the whole song, here's the tab: e---0----0-----0----0---0---2--2--- b---0h2-0h2--2----0----0--3--3--- g---2----2-----2----0---0--2--2---- d---2----2-----2----2---2--0--0---- a---0----0-----0----2---2-------- e--------------------0---0------- Alright, that's mega rough. I'll find that thread. That's from knivesout. Cheers!
  10. Never finished it the first time, Steinbeck ruined me. Turns out I have to read it for an assignment anyways so, game on.
  11. C is an Am7 shape (in standard tuning) and G is just an open strum.
  12. Alright, sorry this took me so long. I think Bobbob was asking about it. Or Rico Suave. Or UNBELIEVABLE! I don't remember anymore. Nonetheless, here is the intro. Open G Tuning d---------------------------------------------------------- b---------------------------------------------------------- g------------------4----2--0-----2--0-------------------- d--------------0----------------0-----0------------------- g---------------------0-------0--------------------------- d-------0-2/4--------------------------------------------- Hope this works for some people!
  13. Here is the thread with this tab, its pretty correct, as far as I know. Enjoy!
  14. I've played a few Taylors, one was a Big Baby I think and, I was not too impressed. I'm not sure if my friend humidifies his guitars but the frets were sticking off the neck a wee bit just enough to scrape my hands. I'd say if you are looking to buy an expensive Taylor, go for a middle class Martin. I'm pretty partial to Martins though.
  15. How do you get the "Code?" Is it just an option?
  16. Oh, it's off a show DVD? Hmm, that's beyond me. Bummer.
  17. Could you post that said video? Please?
  18. This is sans-guitar but it should be right for the most part. e------3--3-s/-5----5----5--------------------- b------3--3-s/-5----7----5--------------------- g------4--4-s/-6----7----6--------------------- d------5--5-s/-7----7----7--------------------- a------5--5-s/-7----5----7--------------------- e------3--3-s/-5---------5--------------------- ______G_____A___D__G There's the basic intro, here's a little extra to be played over the same part: e------3--3-s/-5------------------5----------- b------3--3-s/-5-5--7--------7---5--------------- g------4--4-s/-6-------6-----7---6------------
  19. I've got some. I'll get these up tonight hopefully.
  20. I agree. I wouldn't try playing Airline too soon. But, if you are determinded to play it, just play the chords for now minus the bassline. Once you get the timing, then try adding the bassline. I also agree to playing along to recordings of whatever song you are learning, it helps as I still do it occasionally. If you need recordings of any song, don't be afraid to ask.
  21. What song are you working on first?
