I couldn't pull up any pairs at all, even right at 10:00. Got all kinds of different single tickets, including mezzanine, dress circle (front of balcony from rows A-J), Balc, Upper balc, main floor.
-
This is really surprising to hear, because I know a few other people who also couldn't even select tickets until :08 or :09 like myself. I'm using Firefox, not sure about the others. I also tried refreshing in IE. I have Chrome but didn't try it.

Right at 10? The Ticketmaster page didn't even let you select tickets until 10:08 or 10:09 Also, there are no will call only restrictions on the public tickets, correct? That means tons will be going on craigslist, etc

Horrible presale. Started 9 mins late, and couldn't pull any pairs at all. Was only able to pull singles in middle to rear balcony.

Anyone else trying for the XRT / Jam presale right now??? It still hasn't come up for sale on ticketmaster! this is super strange behavior. I've seen TM onsales be up to 30 seconds late, but 5+ mins?

Thx very much. I didn't see the info on wilcoworld. I guess everyone is obligated to check FB as well these days

Anyone know when Chicago at Civic Opera House is onsale?? Thanks!

WILCO - 10/19/09 UIC Pavilion, Chicago Night #2
JRiordan replied to EatMorePez's topic in After The Show
Definitely a good show, and I think the crowd had more energy tonight. But I still enjoyed Sunday night more in a lot of ways. Mainly because it was my first Wilco show since the 5 nights at the Riv in Feb 2008, so I was just enjoying every minute. Overall cannot complain at all, very good show. -
Wilco would do a great Scents & Subtle Sounds (at least the intro section... with Glenn doing lots of percussion effects)

Show was AWESOME!!! I've been dying to hear the new songs live ever since the album came out. I preferred to wait and see them myself rather than downloading other shows, etc. BULL BLACK NOVA was everything I hoped for!!! Total freakout. Please, please melt my face with this again tomorrow night! We were on the floor about 15-20 rows back. Sound was LOUD and clear. Really fantastic. I heard a lot of subtleties coming through all night. Much better than expected. I hadn't been to UIC Pav in 7 years, so I wasn't sure. Hoodoo Voodoo = so awesome. Even songs that I've seen at eve

I don't know if I'm more excited to see Wilco or TORTOISE!!! Ooops did I say that on this board? Well, their show at Empty Bottle earlier this year was really great. Pitchfork was OK but was too big / bloated for them. But seriously, I'm so excited to hear the new album songs live! Any good nearby (walking distance) pre-show bars?

Wow, shocked. Very very sad. RIP man... thanks for all the great music

For "regular" shows, yes it is nice to be able to give tickets to friends / sell to strangers for face if you can't make it. But for a special run like this, to prevent scalping, it really is the only way. If they put that system in place, and you're pretty sure you're can make the show(s), you buy tickets. If there is major doubt, don't buy in the first place. If you suddenly find out you can go last minute, well hopefully someone has an extra to bring you inside with them.
-
100% agreed they should do will-call ONLY, especially for a special run like this. I posted this in the other thread: http://forums.viachicago.org/index.php?sho...t&p=1012052

To virtually eliminate scalping, they really should make all ticket buyers only be able to pick up tickets with their IDs at will call as they enter the venue (that means get ticket, have ticket immediately scanned, and walk in -- once a ticket is scanned they cannot walk outside and sell it because it will not scan a second time). It is terrible that scalpers make money from real fans who couldn't get through for tickets. If they used this ticket distribution policy, scalpers would not even try for tickets, thus allowing more fans to get through. Smashing Pumpkins did this for their 9 nig

Smashing Pumpkins did this for the "residencies" this summer (9 shows at Orange Peel in Asheville, NC and 12 shows at Fillmore in San Francisco). It was perfect. Eliiminated 99.9% of all scalping. The scalpers didn't even bother getting tickets because there was no way to sell them because the original buyer had to show ID at will call to pick them up and then enter the venue immediately (i.e. no heading back out to the street to sell them). This is the way to do it for any "big deal" shows. Wilco, please take note.

Just got 4 for Mon,Tues, Weds. Can't go Fri and Sat (I'll be on Smashing Pumpkins tour in England!). Glad cause I'm sure the Fri-Sat tickets were harder to get. I couldn't pull any up after I got my Mon-Tues-Weds

You are the man!! Thanks for all the great tapes (Pearl Jam @ Summerfest, Arcade Fire May 2007 @ Chicago Theatre, just off the top of my head).
-
That is great material! Original? Teachers should use that in grammar school; the kids would pick it up!
-
A page or 2 earlier someone said they confirmed with MusicToday that it will be only 1 ticket. I dunno any more details
-
Easy to get, and also easy for me to decide not to buy with those fees (see above). My ticket will be released to the public in a moment, so keep trying people. Enjoy!

$175 ticket + $6.50 USPS mail shipping + $9.50 service fee = $191 total. No thank you!! I can't go the first 2 nights anyway, I was just curious to see if it was worth it to buy this and let someone else use it the first 2 nights. Looks like I'll just be buying the last 3 via the XRT presale or public sale
