Albrecht shot in case of mistaken burglary I'm not sure how many VCer's ever had the opportunity to watch Carter play, but he was a sight to see. He was also one of the nicer folks I ever had a chance to hang out with. This is just a horrible tragedy. Vibes, thoughts and prayers to all involved

I already posted this on the whoopi goldberg board, but thought those of you who are not members of both communities might want to see it:

we watched "the last king of scotland" and "flags of our fathers" this past weekend+holiday. Just the sort of uplifting combo to ready one for a fresh new week.

I thought the "mall" aspect worked to my advantage in some aspects though. The people who show up to concerts to talk had ample open area to do so, and didn't bother those of us who were nearer the stage. I also liked that I could run out and get a breath of fresh air every once in awhile. It was kind of a crazy scene for that type of concert, though. Since we cabbed it I didn't have to mess with the parking either. I could take it or leave it as a venue... I'm curious to see what the palladium in Dallas is going to be like. Never seen a show there
