I've been using dBpowerAMP Music Converter: dBpowerAMP You may need to add some codec plug-ins (.flac, .shn etc.), which are at: Codecs Hope that helps.

Christ, can't the guy throw in some variety now and then? It's like the beatles--same damn song, over and over and over again...

Last night I listened to a show from 1998 (1998.09.12) that I just downloaded, and was amazed by the tunes (it's an interesting mix--I remember that at least as to the last half of the show the taper's mic was squarely in the path of the gutsy/bassy speaker section of Jay's rig...), and started pondering the inclusion of pedal steel at that time and the exclusion of it now. I am fascinated by much of Nels' playing, both the pre-Nels material and post, so don't presume this thread to be a knock at his playing at all. And I enjoy some of the lap steel he does. But I kept thinking to myself l

I too think this is ridiculous (the guy should be able to wallpaper the classroom with flags if it's somehow related to his teachings, etc.), but just to play "devil's advocate," isn't the argument going to be raised that students don't need to look at a flag to figure out the location, topography or borders of a country?

War-Torn Middle East Seeks Solace In Religion August 23, 2006 | Issue 42•34 JERUSALEM—As an uneasy truce between Israel and Hezbollah continues, millions of average men and women in the Holy Land are turning to the one simple comfort that has always seen them through the darkest days of their troubled history: the steadfast guidance of their religious faith. Arabs and Israelis alike are embracing their faith as a way to make sense of the violence from which there seems to be no escape. "I take solace in knowing that my faith is a sanctuary, an escape from the bloodshed and turmoil," sa -
Haven't heard of the album. Is that the one where Billy Wilson invents the "canopy of sound" recording technique?

If he continues in the vein of Garden State, then I have to say I'm excited to hear the news. Loved that movie (and soundtrack). Although Scrubs will be missed. Got to give the guy props for not trying to bleed it dry...

aren't we missing the more important part of the story? Was the troup leader a homosexual?!

this is among the more absurd things I've read about vis-a-vis the internet. Now, if bands were in an uproar because of how awful/inaccurate some of the tabs are, that would be another story... what they don't take into account is how many bands never release tab books...

love the avatar.... When I used to live in Dallas, I caught several Frisco Roughriders games (minor league) and really enjoyed it. Feels like old-fashioned baseball...

God it feels good to complete a wilco ticket purchase...

Is the "Spiders" similar to the museum show? That blew me away... Now I have plans for when I get home from work!!!! Thanks for the post

I know that there are wilco/tweedy shows available on other sites, but I really enjoyed the brief window in which I was able to share shows on VC. I was just wondering if we were able to put some funds together if that might help speed up the recovery of the tracker (I know NOTHING about this technology, so please forgive my ignorance if raising some funds for a techie, etc. has nothing to do with the solution). I'm good for a contribution. anyone else?

SMU: after. I graduated from Vanderbilt in 1994 and then SMU (law school) in 1997. At Vanderbilt, they've taken care of the football team's performance problems by adding much imbibing to the whole "football game" event. They don't allow alcohol in the stadium by rule, but, well, let's just say that flasks are a big seller around town before the fall. By the third quarter, you're cheering for something (the student body amply made up for the athletic talent), albeit not the home team winning. I am excited to see how Jay Cutler develops though...

As a graduate of Vanderbilt and Southern Methodist University, the eve of college football is always the most exciting time of year for me.

I see the same thing with Texas--the San Antonio date shows up but not Ft. Worth...
