  1. He's ahead in BOTH, though they are too close still. MO is still not called either.
  2. QFT. And yes, McCain goes back to the senate.
  3. He just lost me with Palin -- and people there are booing! Is he going to thank Joe The Plumber?
  4. See, the pride is not just for African Americans. I am proud too that an African American can be elected. EDIT: Go Wendy!!!!
  5. If I were just slightly less lazy, I'd look for your post guaranteeing a McCain win!
  6. Well said. Words escape me -- I am so fricking happy. I feel like the ghosts of the last two elections are finally exorcised.
  7. We're rooting for MB no matter what happens in IN!!1!
  8. I always want to see what the opposition says. Karl Rove is kinda hypnotizing. No wonder he's the anti-christ. Earlier, we were watching BBC but Scott is sick (so no champagne tonight -- hopefully tomorrow) and he went to bed so I am free to surf at will.
  9. Holy crap! He could sweep the east coast swing states! C'mon NC!!
  10. I was going to say "who's going to save all those baby rhubarbs?" but Miss V beat me to it Also, I voted about 2 weeks ago -- took an hour all told. Scott voted mid-day and there was no line at all...
  11. From Jonathan Martin's POLITICO blog There will be many hungover GOP (or Dem) participants
  12. The election "market" shows the probablility for an Obama win at 94%, up from 90 yesterday. Better be right -- my sister has a ticket to the event in Grant Park
  13. Some help as to when polls close tomorrow. I am on pins and needles
  14. Trust me, I want him to win them all
  15. Thanks Kyle -- I was going to do this but got busy My vote: Obama wins with 300-338 EV I predict he will win the following swing-er states: PA, VA, FL, NM, CO, NV, IA, NH I think he will lose OH, IN, MO and NC. Three of these four are in the eastern time zone so we should know pretty early whether it is a landslide or just a sweet victory.
  16. This is disgusting. My husband and I have a bottle of Veuve Cliquot on ice for the moment they call the race for Obama. If he loses, we have everything else in the well-stocked liquor cabinet. It's elitism, dude QFT. Obama has stated that he is not "pro-abortion". I don't think that any "pro-abortion" people like abortions and want more of them. Like austrya points out, his other policies could lead to fewer of them.
  17. ction: Here's why -- emails from voters and canvassers posted on Ben Smith's Politico Blog you have to help women buy pants in the Ozarks:
  18. Um, I don't remember. It's worked great for us besides some anxious moments getting the f*ing thing to fit in our existing bed frame (as we elected to install ourselves -- it arrived in boxes via shipping). I figure that for the $1K it cost it has saved me that in trips to the chiropractor.
  19. We have a now 4 year old sleep number bed (mid-range version) and we like it a lot. Scott tried the Tempurpedic thing in the store and didn't like it as well. I never did try one; I have a sneaking suspicion I would have preferred it.
