Your BF is awfully cute... what's his name

No bail while he is appealing. Celebrity status ain't what it used to be, that's for sure.

But I feel better that Barack is the one who will lead them -- I trust his instincts. Also, do you think that H would have put O in her cabinet, had the tables been turned? hmmm not sure.

Get an apt where someone else does the shoveling.

Easily the worst opener for Wilco was that Australian band in St Louis in Spring of 2006

hmmm my spinach receipe is by heart; I threw out the cookbook long ago. Here goes.... Fresh spinach -- lots of it. I think I used five bags of the prewashed kind 2 lbs of cheese (I use muenster and mozzarella; creativity here is fine) 2 eggs 2 medium onions 2-4 cloves of garlic sautee the onion and garlic -- set aside cook down the spinach 1 bag at a time and put in a colander to drain. The more water removed the better. Also get rid of any big stems. beat the eggs, add salt/pepper to them shred a little more than half the cheese (any proportion -- I have never been picky), slice the re

Roasted root veggies had parsnips, turnips, beets, carrots, rudabega, onion and garlic. Had I made them, I would thrown in about double the olive oil and a bunch of herbs. But they were still very good. And Beaujolais Nouveau is pretty damn good -- an excellent holiday choice. Green bean casserole for the most part =

Wal-Mart worker dies after shoppers knock him down

My husband wrote a poem about this today, called "Merry Christmas Everybody". I'll post it after he reads it; probably tomorrow at the Green Mill. -
We had two dinners and could have hit a third. Since we are vegetarians, no turkey, but when people say "OMG, what do you eat on thanksgiving??!!" I recite something like this: Cheese and crackers Salad Mashed potatoes Spinach Provencale (totally boss -- I am not allowed to show up without it) Roasted root vegetables Brussel sprouts Stuffing (cooked outside the turkey) Cranberry sauce And all covered with hollandaise which I use as gravy :x Then dessert -- bread pudding with vanilla ice cream Then we did largely the same thing 3 hours later, though way smaller portions and three desser

My niece is traveling with a school group in India -- they are now in Jaipur. Needless to say, we are happy all is ok with her but our thoughts are with those affected. Apparently, this is not an infrequent occurrence

Hasn't he said he is committed to ending the war in Iraq? What makes you think he is deciding not to now?

Dude -- you realize that he isn't actually president yet, don't you?

"Jeff Tweedy" reviews U2's Achtung Baby

Why do you think Tweedy even uses iTunes Though I do agree with the Acrobat thing. And while I didn't quite grow up on it (I was 31 when it was released) I have also listened to it over 100 times and is neck and neck with The Unforgettable Fire as my fav U2 record. -
I think he is going about this in a very pragmatic, thoughtful way; just as I thought. So far, his cabinet earns an A from me.

This is one of the best editorials that I have read about what Obama (and all of us) face, from today's Washington Post. And to comment on the PANTHER threads -- while I would *love* to see "fresh faces", the cold, stark reality is that the democratic bench so to speak, IS the Clinton era. These are the experienced folks who can get shit done. And if there is anything we need, it's to get shit done -- and fast.

Interesting TIME article that I think sums up where the new cabinet is from and where it is going. I am a fan thus far.

I saw this last night too -- I had heard of a similar story about a year ago. Simply tragic from all angles. Also, this kid was from where our own B2 is from.
