  1. Today is the anniversary of the last night. I still get chills when I think about Glen using a fucking POWER DRILL during the drone. Outrageous and courageous.
  2. I think there were people selling tickets out front every day/night. You just had to want to be there bad enough
  3. Lavender fields in Provence in May. Sweet creamy Jesus.
  4. So it was begun by the Bush Administration as far as I could tell.

Actually, "the backstage guy" in the film is WXRT DJ Lin Brehmer. When IATTBYH came out, he laughed and laughed about his "essential contribution" to the film -- but you could tell he was fairly mortified. He's a pretty good guy in reality.
  7. I have been thinking about it all week, and listening to a few of the shows. BTW -- temps here have been in the 30s-40s this week, but somehow it just would not have been the same had we not all frozen together. I had such bad bronchitis, I thank my pals for place holding for me a couple of those days! Charles H. photographed that show, and he described the mountain of coats/hats/scarves/whatever slung over the rail as a "giant soft mountain" if I recall correctly. Ah, the Riv
  8. I'm just glad he was there to vote yea on the stimulus package.
  9. Another reason Missoula is a fab town! I'll be there again this summer....
  10. Usually the "estimate" is there as a guide -- actual selling price can be hugely different. There can also be hidden reserves (floor) that the seller won't sell the item less than a specific price, generally under the low end of the estimate. And best yet, the auction gets a % from both the buyer and seller.... My sister was in the auction biz here in chicago
  11. Is that a monkey in your pocket or are you just glad to see me?
  12. BTW -- the Residency was happening a year ago right now, which was the genesis of this DVD. *sigh*
  13. I saw a debunking of that shocking "National Coordinator of Health Information Technology" post -- actually, this was created during the *gasp* Bush administration. And as far as this office making decisions, it makes recommendations for possible next steps - kind of like your doctor or insurance company. Get a grip everyone.
  14. Coopers (west of Racine on Belmont) for the best barfood and bottled beer in the city. Seriously. Everyone have a ball tonight! hugs/kisses to Sue and Jeff for great charity work yet again.
  15. These pictures are breathtaking. Charles -- yours always seem just otherworldly.... this is why I took maybe 5 pictures and won't even bother posting them!! And Kevin - hahaha Jeff had a laugh over that -- yet again. It's the gift that keeps on giving!!
  16. This is one of the funniest things on here in a while. Thanks Kev for the laugh
  17. As for me, I'm going to wait to reseve judgment on the record until I actually hear it.
  18. In theory, in an acquisition they buy everything including the technology, so maybe they will swap out their poor Web site for the better one.
