Before I get back to work, I want to add that while we certainly did not ask for him to spend a lot of his time shooting, we were very lucky to have the incomparable Charles Harris at the show -- and he DID spend a lot of time shooting More to come I am sure. -

Fixed It was on the list but I missed it whilst typing. Damned dyslexia! -
I think it was the first movie I ever saw on the new technology - VHS! I recall marvelling at the "choreographed violence".

So the party was really fun -- mostly people that are coming to the show tonight, but a couple others that aren't, notably my BIL Jim and Ms Renic herself, birthdaying it up until Scott took her home after midnight No pics were taken to my knowledge, even though I had my camera ready. Just plain old FUN.

I think all these threads are a veiled attempt by srmt to pad her post count.

Last pre-party bump!

bump. Hope for a nice turnout. The weather looks like it will cooperate this year!

Stop in to see Chaco Canyon in NM just southeast of 4 corners if you can -- simply amazing. We did a R66 trip a few years back from the art institute in chicago through to OK -- the oldest parts of the road are in southern IL and sooo cool.

Huh. This happens so rarely these days since it is pretty well known that the initial seed has to leave open torrents until there is at least one complete DL to allow others to finish. Especially now that network speeds are so much faster than they were even a couple years ago.

I'm DLing this now and it has slowed to a crawl (and I mean CRAWL with 1-2KBPs DLing) with under 10% to go. Anyone else having the same problem?

They did -- I understand it was a booth review and they agreed with the call.

This right here is comedy gold

You're moving here aren't you?

Me too -- the Steelers were my favorite team, and remember that I am older than dirt.

Some people have said that these were two of the greatest SBs ever.

I want to see the dancing

Better late than never -- in case you didn't know, there are a bunch of VC people coming in town for one of the Tweedy LR shows next weekend. So, in keeping with tradition, we will have a get together the Friday night prior, this time at my place. Details: Friday, February 6 7:00 (or later) 7348 N. Ridge Blvd #16B Chicago (Rogers Park 'hood) You are welcome to bring something, though just yourself is fine too. No particular theme is required, though if anyone wants to dress up as an interpretation of Rod Blagojevich's next job, that would be pretty funny.

You Illinois folks sure know how to do politics

He's a serious narcissist with sociopathic tendencies, IMHO. And I voted for him twice -
My joke here in Chicago is that with one breath, the weather/transport people say not to go out unless you have to, then with the next say joyfully that the Chicago Public Schools are open.

One word for today:
