  1. I also want to add that because the show was so much sooner than last year's, the musicians had to pick out their sub-groups and songs and get them firmed up in a hurry. Double kudos for that....
  2. I second Maudie's sentiment -- this was really great for you guys to do this. Natalie will live on through all of us.
  3. Hahahah me and at least 2 others
  4. This was so impressive -- there were a lot of "first timers", and the material that was played was varied, challenging, and best of all -- incredibly well executed. I forgot my camera, but I doubt that there were any less than 1000 pictures taken. I'm sure some will show up here. Thanks again Ken/Stacy and of course Jeff and Sue for making this happen Oh, and there was no snowstorm!
  5. Perennial winners of the 'XRT listeners poll, which I believe each has won at least once before
  6. I was thinking from the topic title that this must have been Caliber and Ction, then I realized that it really could have been VC's own Sooies even they are not twins, but brother/sister adopted by different parents.
  7. This also might explain why the Riv shows sold out so damn fast.
  8. Interesting... linky And the 9/12 show at Pritzker was #3 concert, and What Light was #2 song Even though they are a home town band, they "beat" Radiohead, Springsteen and other perennial winners.
  9. I am sorry about this; he was a hero in my household.
  10. Do you think they all do that? Who do you think is washing the dishes in the restaurant you ate in last night, and sending most of their (taxed) paychecks back to Mexico?
  11. It's more like this: DEFENSE HEALTHCARE TRANSPORTATION EDUCATION "free healthcare for immigrants"
  12. How is this at all the same? And doesn't much of the wealth that is given by Rs eventually help them too? Infrastrucure like schools, roads etc would not be possible without taxes.
  13. I think we can all agree that the C word is to be used in the most dire circumstances. A stupid t-shirt isn't that.
  14. I just looked at some of her most recent posts. Here's one that I LOLed over at the time (like many) In the RSGF thread Much hilarity insued. Plus we both said we did not like the Big Lebowski. I felt validated.
  15. She is winning by 6000 votes and 2% overall with 85% reporting. Not exactly a landslide....
  16. Like last year's tweedy show at the VIC -- CRAZY cold that night
  17. It actually might have kept younger voters at home and energized older ones. THIS IS WHY YOU MUST VOTE!!
  18. Damn. I am still slightly ambivalent between them, but really like him a lot. He can be the comeback kid!
