Not just that. Remember Leo and his PKB request at Erin's house. Plus, if you look at what they've been playing at soundchecks, the reappearance of It's Just That Simple, and the "request a song" thingy before the Pritzker pavillion show, you've got your "demand"

If per chance I am unsuccessful with getting into any of the five nights in chicago, I am thinking of attempting this instead. Tipitinas is wonderful -- a hole in the wall that is a great GA venue. I saw the meters there in the late 70s, and returned there a couple years ago pre-katrina and it still had the huge mural of Dr Longhair on the wall behind the stage. I understand that it was not damaged at all during the hurricane.

I was listening to the radio (XRT natch) this morning when it was announced -- I almost drove off the road I think my husband is going to divorce me -- so I will do a pre-emptive suggested "xmas present" that he can give me -- not bitch about me going to all five And FWIW, I think a "residency" implies different material each night vs. a run of shows in the same location with the same/similar material.

Quick question Sue -- Is the set-up going to be the same as last year with "reserved" seats in the front/middle, and the rest GA? TIA

Ditto Froggie -- go see some specialists and be sure that they do a full round of tests. Leave no stone unturned! Keep us up to date, mkay?

I think I am most surprised how many of you started drinking coffee so young. I didn't drink it until I was 20. Now, I did have black tea when I was 4 -- very weak -- and drank it occasionally through high school. The panic disorder stuff didn't hit until my late 20s, but it wasn't until later that it got paralyzing and I gave up everything. I was then diagnosed with mitral valve prolapse since it felt to me that my heart was beating so fast and seemingly irregularly, but like Bjorn I wore a heart monitor when it seemed really bad to me.... and it was normal. That REALLY freaked me out, but

Assuming I have my pre-LRS party this year (to which you ALL are invited; details to follow of course), I will order some Gulliver's pan (veggie and non).

When I was suffering from panic disorder/depression, I had similar reactions anytime I had caffeine. So, for about 10 years I avoided it (and all drugs except some alcohol) like the plague. Now (and for the past couple years) I drink about 2-3 cups of black tea each day with no issues, with an occasional high test espresso after dinner. So far so good. So, my suggestion would be to consider what else is going on in your life -- xmas stress, relationships, professional career etc etc. TBH, 2 pots of coffee can't be good for you, so cutting back can only help.

Many many great moments in 2007: LRS 2 & 3 at Ken's and Erin's. I mean Tweedy solo at the Vic -- I laughed, I cried. It was filled with awesomeness Dinner at Catherine's in CT with some prominent VCers Team Estrogen tour with Donna, Chris and Melissa. Best moment was running down to the front literally pushing miss chris -- then getting to occasionally look back and see sooie and sister sooie geeking out. Gawd I want to do this again. Columbia show -- beginning to end. Prolly the best one I saw this year Stealth show (meaning my family didn't know about it) thanks to Sue and

Vibes Mende -- echoing others, you are one of the most generous, sweet peeps on here. Just remember you have Wilco in your future

RIP Johnny. You are missed.

I forgot to mention how much I like Jeff's hat. My dad had one like that

Welcome! I find live shows to be the best -- pre-mixed is one way to think of them "shaken, not stirred"

Setlist: War on War Jesus Etc Christ for President California Stars What Light So this was not a Jeff solo show as billed -- rather he was joined by John, Glenn and Pat -- the "IL tax-paying" part of Wilco. Glenn had like 1/10th of his normal kit, Pat had elec. keyboard and Jeff acoustic guitars only, but they played great and really energized the crowd. The real story was Barack.... he spoke for at least 20 (maybe 30) minutes, and it was really heart felt. I liked him before; I like him even better now.

Thanks Samo -- looking to get there tomorrow afternoon with my cashola

Jeff Tweedy, Barack Obama, and some dudes from Third Eye Blind

Still deciding about this..... -
A great read. One thing -- the KT sessions at the Vic were in May '05. And about the "wrinkled from head to toe", he must have learned to use the washing machine afterall.

Discuss: "We're the 49ers" is a better song than "Super Bowl Shuffle"

And Rex is not as ripped as CT. Stick a fork in the Bears. They should start resting relatively injured players (Harris, Urlacher come to mind) and see what Orton can do. -
Does anyone know when the Vic box office closes today? I haven't been able to get anyone to answer the phone there

Pretty much the same deal at the shows I have been to. The "OTS Wilco Ensemble with the real Jeff Tweedy" show I went to last year as a bonus was a ton of fun.

I don't think it actually sold out. It was close, but fully sold out.
