What are you talking about? And

Yeah, UF is the best of their records, though it doesn't have a song in my top five probably. I just think it has such a great flow and atmosphere, which makes it a great listen from end to end. I also recall this, and was acutely aware when it was coming out. I stayed out of work that day to wait to hear it on the radio before it was for sale! However, from the first strains of "streets" it absolutely did not disappoint in any way. It came out on the heels of the Amnesty tour where they totally stole the show. I still have that on VHS tape where they do "maggie's farm" and "bad" and t

I have one (180G), and I have fit everything on there no problem. I transfer stuff to MP3 (V0) for use on my iPod but won't trade them.

Hi-Rose, I remember when you got married -- I think it was you -- and asked about what Wilco songs to play at your wedding. Obviously it worked -- yay babies I am glad Wilco seems to be ready to schedule a trip to Japan.

Is that Glenn's Cub Scout shirt?

KC has Miss Chris so that is the big draw for me.

I think the lesson here is that if they are coming to play anywhere near where you live, go see them. This tour seems like it has taken it up several notches. -

OMFG. -
HA! yes and the Outlaws also played that show as the opener. I remember the smoke (cig and otherwise) being so thick I could hardly see the stage. Yes, I think that TOTRR was about '78. I saw them twice before that (both times at Northwestern McGaw Hall), and then once more in maybe '91 or something. I missed Zep -- and then Bonzo died

Sounds about right..... Lonesome LA Cowboy is one of the best songs ever written, IMO. Is the sound any good?

In a kind of chronological order: Tull -- 1974 my first rock concert. Ian Anderson in a codpiece; I was hooked. Stones -- 1978 Soldier Field with Peter Tosh and two others I can't recall Springsteen -- '77 at the Auditorium Wild Tschopitoulas and a bunch of others -- chicago fest 1980 Lynyrd Skynyrd -- 1977 I think, at the Amphitheatre Clapton '78 Chicago stadium Cheap trick ~'78 at haymakers in palatine New Riders of the Purple Sage '77 at the Ivanhoe Arlo Guthrie -- Quiet Night '71 or '72 Dead '78 at the Uptown Commander Cody -- Aragon '78 - one of the few shows I ever saw there, thankful

Ain't that the truth. But you know, I really respect both his opinions and his choice of beers, even though I like his choice of beers way better than most of his opinions

So Miss Chris -- I listened to the torrent today (excellent recording for an AUD!) and listened for the "tiny dancer" lines but missed them. When were they??

I know what you mean, Sam -- just when I think I'm kinda "over it", I seem them live again and I am enthralled once more. Seeing JT solo is just icing on that lovely cake.

Thanks; looks like it's working....

I have a PC running WinXP. I can play the xvids on my PC (and on TV with an S video cable) without problem using VLC Media Player. I would like to be able to transfer them to my iPod which is the latest one (though not the new new one coming out soon, or just released). I tried to simply copy them using winamp and got an error that the format was not recognized. I hate iTunes.

Sadly you are mistaken.

Mr. Tweedy often encourages the crowd to sing a long, so I always do. I think once he likened it to a narcissistic campfire where only his songs get sung or something like that

Nothing better than CUPCAKES!

Actually, now that this thread has been revived, I have an iPod video and a bunch of .xvid movies. Any clue what I would use to transfer them to .avi? (I think it is the format that apple uses for iPod).

The interesting thing is that while it is about baseball, it could just have easily been a guy that builds an orchestra pit and then a conductor and composers etc appear and bring up the beautiful meaning of music to us and our families, or about dance/dancers or whatever. Baseball feels somewhat incidental to the real meaning.

Awesome -- it's wonderful that she loves them as much as you do. She has to tie down that hair though It's probably the last outdoor show for them for a while.
