  1. I like the disc. I wish all discs were produced this way - you can stack way more (less space) and the fact that they use less crap is great. I'm not much of a hippie, but I like that people are taking up using green alternatives.
  2. On a related note, has anyone downloaded Jay's most recent album? It's available for free (seriously, it's the way it's being distributed) here : http://rockproper.com/ I'm 3 tracks in (not sure what took me so long to get around to it) and it's easily his best solo work. His best post-Wilco work is still The Palace At 4 A.M., but this is damn good.
  3. I can't believe he actually showed/shows up. That's incredibly nice of him.
  4. when you insert the DVD - open up "My Computer" and right click on the DVD drive to get to the sub section "Extras" ... double click on "Extras" and it should bring you to the page to DL the items.
  5. you access it through the DVD of Ashes.
  6. I know that Jay will really appreciate hearing these kind words. I'll make sure to pass them on to him or make sure that he visits here to read them. Nothing new to report - still a few days before he and I start hashing things out, but hopefully the base of the house will be in place come Friday.
  7. yeah, but the free DC concert, by the details made previously, will not be there tomorrow. damn it!
  8. I dreamt the album title last night - now I can't remember it. Jeff told it to me in a dream. He should have told someone with a better memory - LoL
  9. dear god - I shouldn't have waited!!! someone keep us updated on if it comes back up.
  10. Thanks for the kind words to Jay. I'll be talking to him later this coming week about a benefit and we'll see what can be done. Will definitely keep people posted.
  11. I wasn't sure where to put this quite frankly, so I apologize if it's in the wrong area. But, out of the blue yesterday I decided to call Jay as I hadn't spoken to him in a long while and not long afterwards he posted on his MySpace page about the need for him to have Hip Replacement Surgery due to sustaining an injury years ago while a member of Titanic Love Affair. read it here:
  12. I'm having errors on the website - will have to call. I may do this. $20 per session ain't bad.
  13. I can't find my copies of these anymore - if someone would help a fellow fan out and direct me to where I can get them I'd be appreciative.
  14. I invested some research into how much Glenn's cymbals would cost me - Roughly $300 a piece ... whoo-boy.
  15. ah - I've never ordered anything from the site, so I was unaware.
  16. I was wondering about that, too. They don't show someone talking at any point. I think it is Glenn, but not 100%.
  17. Were people pre-ordering and receiving them or buying them a local independent record store or at the gigs? that said, even if people were getting them from Wilco World it's not a huge company I'm sure and you'll still no doubt get it before the general public does on April 28th.
  18. "National Tragedy Museum" wow! I'd go there.
  19. I suppose I was being a bit harsh, but I was talking about the place in general. I did find the punk rock exhibit fascinating. But I don't know how much I like the idea of a rock museum, either.
  20. I liked "You Never Know"...only listened to it once, but I dig it.
  21. The R&R HOF is one of the biggest wastes I've ever seen. That opinion has nothing to do with their lack of Wilco, merch however (the DVD isn't on sale to the general public until the 28th, btw). It's just a big stinker of a museum.
  22. Like I said elsewhere, I could watch a 6 hour documentary of just interviews with these guys. I loved what Brendan and Christoph did with the film. It's a concert film - it's what it was always supposed to be. The interviews came out organically from what I understand and fit the narrative of a band on tour. I'm not sure what the critique is here... But I would also welcome another Sam Jones style documentary on these guys, too. But I don't know if something like that will every happen again.
