Looking back now it seems silly, but Signs freaked me out. I couldn't sleep for days after seeing it. I remember waking my roommate up one night because I thought there was an alien in our kitchen.

Lucky you! I saw Doves at a show like that (about 50 people). Guy said that they hadn't been to Atlanta since 2002 and he had completely lost his voice at that show and couldn't sing so they did Elbow-aoke and let audience members sing for him. Oh man, it was seriously one of the best shows I've ever seen (with all due respect to the gods of Wilco). Guy Garvey is freaking amazing. I hope they come back to the States again soon since it seems like they've built a pretty good fan base here. I've been a fan since 2003 and this was my first time seeing them.

There was this kid at the Elbow show Saturday night that must have been at least 6'5". Every so often I would watch him out of the corner of my eye not because I was stalking him but because he was standing so still. I don't think he moved the entire show.

The only tall guy I've ever asked to move was my brother. He's 6'3" and I'm only 5'4". He obliged. But that's probably the only time we've seen Wilco in a general admission environment.
