  1. I think he's only more inlfuential because he's a kook. He has a lot of interesting/weird stories about him so people are like "OMG BOBBY DYLZ IS SOO CRAZY" (Not saying it's bad or nuffin but it gets him way more exposure and makes him more well known) But Neil Young is more of a normal guy whose incredibly creative and talented. Neil's just music is so much more interesting than Dylan's. He sets the mood of songs so much better than Bobby imo. Plus I hate how Dylan has the word "said" in so many songs so many times. Ya know the "He said, she said, they said, etc."
  2. Information should have been shorter. I would have liked it more if they added a few of the regular album songs as b-sides to the bonus disk or something.
  3. I still think Neil Young is better all around than Bob Dylan.
  4. Dylan has like 30 songs that are way better than any Tweedy songs imo. BUT Dylan also has like 400 songs that are just terrible where as Tweedy doesn't have any terrible songs if you ask me.
  5. I really like young team and that remix album. I got super bored of in rock, and the last two. ten rapid and come on die young were pretty good though.
  6. I was going to travel up there to see this till I found out they are playing here (salt lake) in August, I'm really pissed I didn't go now.
  7. yeah I listen to the dvd audio way more than I ever watch the dvds. I watched the sbs dvd once, and the akron/family dvd once. but I've listened to the audio from both a whole bunch of times. I've still never watched that greendale dvd, or the masey hall one. but I bought the dvd pack of both. Oh and I got the bonnie prince billy dvd audio thing for the letting go cuz I thought it was a cd/dvd combo, but it wasn't. I've never watched that.
  8. K so far I've got Bonnie Prince Billy - Goodbye, Dear Old Stepstone Leonard Cohen - Hey That's No Way To Say Goodbye Loose Fur - You Were Wrong Simon Joyner - Goodbye, Farewell, So Long, Goodbye Plus pretty much every song you guys have mentioned.
  9. What are some good songs about going away?
  10. Tom Courtenay Autumn Sweater Big Day Coming (Fast) From A Motel 6 Upside Down
  11. Bad timing is pretty amazing. I like it more than most of Fahey's records, which is saying a lot. I think it's because the productions a lot better maybe.
  12. Love Love Love/Love Love Love (Reprise) - Akron Family's Love Is SImple Tonights the Night Parts 1 and 2 - Neil Young's Tonights the Night Contrast and Compare then a different hidden version of it at the end of Bright Eyes' Letting of the Happiness 2 Lakes, 2 Mountains, 2 Moons on Mount Eerie's No Flashlight.
  13. Eureka is way better I think, just not as present. I love those two records so much.
  14. yeah same guys. They played two shows in Mexico city recently too. here's the link. http://www.mergerecords.com/band.php?news=...amp;band_id=144
  15. I didn't like My Life in the Bush of Ghosts very much.
  16. I hate pretty much all the music that comes out of here (salt lake). Band of Annuals have a couple good songs. I think they're known nationwide. Their album is on what.cd. BTW. Tolchock Trio is pretty cool kind of a Sonic Youth and Pixies-ish feel. www.myspace.com/tolchocktrio
  17. I like electric feel. good bass line. I haven't actually made it through the whole record at one time though. I mean I've heard all the songs but I can't listen to them for 40 minutes straight or however long it is.
  18. I've some rare Jim O'Rourke LPs. like He Who Laughs (which is noted 001/500) So I'm guessing that means it was the first one of the limited batch of 500. the saddlesore 7" on texas revolution, not the drag city re-issue. probably some other stuff too I'd have to check.
  19. secret of the sea was heard at Quizno's in Park City, UT by me the other day.
