I had the last piece for breakfast this morning - on the porch. You guys came a day too early. The weather here now is DIVINE. Heat and humidity are gone. p.s.....mom was working outside today in the yard when the family of bears came tumbling down the mountain......I didn't get to see them.

I bumped into Bob Forsch at the drinking fountain at my elementary school - I was in awe.

wow! What a lovely time I had with all of you guys!! Thank you so much for trekking to my mom's place and spending the evening with us. thanks guys! I have no plans for my birthday today - though we may grab dinner out tonight and then are "celebrating" on Saturday by going to this cohosted by IVAW and then out for Ethiopian food. YUM.

actually there was a story on NPR this morning was that there has been massive amounts of federal funding in the last year or two towards infrastructure - and that the construction work on that bridge was funded by such. also, just a mention of Iraq doesn't have to be "political" - in the US, as a nation, we are so torn up about such disasters - as should be - but really have no concept of the carnage and destruction or reality of life in Iraq. I believe that was what he was saying - and I admit, it crosses my mind as well. Love and prayers to Minneapolis!
