A couple years ago, one of my best friends (who is not known for her tidiness) had lived in her house for 4 months and had never gotten completely moved in. Instead, the place was just a HUGE MESS. She worked 2 jobs, was in grad school full time and had a toddler and a husband who also worked two jobs and was in grad school.   6. Graham is reading Branch's At Canaan's Edge - which is the third installment of that series and really seems to like it. They are such large and intimidating books. One day I hope to read all three.

  14. I didn't mention people I met at events where I went to see them.....though I think the best of that list is meeting the Kids in the Hall.
  15. while it's not my famous people thing - one of my friend's sisters is a pediatric nurse and works at NYU Med Center - she was on shift when Diana Krall had her baby and called my friend and was freaking out...."Elvis Costello is here!" She also goes to off off Broadway shows and is pals with Parker Posey. She is also friends with half the puppeteers on Sesame Street and got to hang out on the set. She dated some famous stand up comedian, though I don't remember who now..... yes, I must live vicariously through others.
  16. have we had a conversation about Dayton? What years were your college years? We may know some of the same people. Dayton was small.
  17. bands that stayed with me or in some house I was living in - Jawbox, Rancid, Los Crudos, NOFX, Citizen Fish.....I know there are more, but that's all I can remember at the moment. I was definitely most starstruck with Jawbox - they were my favorite band at the time - this was in 1992 when Novelty came out.
