almost 32, married, with a 12 year old daughter. Born in Chicago, raised in St. Louis, moved back to Chicago last year. Honestly, I don't really listen to Wilco anymore. *shrug* Just burned out. Though I met my husband on Via Chicago, so I guess that's good. This fall, I will have been on VC for 4 years......damn.

my grandmother read A Tree Grows in Brooklyn to my mom when she was very sick in the hospital as as a child.....and my mom did the same for me when I was in the hospital after a surgery. I called the cable company and got a 12 month deal for $20 a month - full standard cable package!! Not as good as FREE like in our last place, but a helluva lot better than $45 which is the normal price! happy birthday to me! happy new job to me!!

yeah likely no way you can get a kid into a magnet/charter school at this late of a date......unless you know someone. Even then it doesn't always work. I believe the charter/magnet testing & lottery deadlines are in like November or December.

yeah there are some BEAUTIFUL brick townhouses in Lincoln Park/Lakeview (there, I covered my bases)......could I ever afford to live in one in my lifetime? Hmmm....... I do enjoy a lot of the little gardens people do up outside their homes in that area when I am walking to my class on Armitage on Saturdays.

My dessert tonight consisted of Stonyfield Farm french vanilla yogurt, organic strawberries and grape nuts.....not quite Cherry Garcia, but pretty good.
