  1. I think she "upper decked" his friends place of business. Edit: this is caliber
  2. i assume she lacks manners and respect for others but bathroom practices?
  3. i had no idea you and calexico were even seeing each other!
  4. i'm siding with you on lili taylor, but i don't know for sure what "lurve" may mean so i'm worried it may be something i'm not willing to do.
  5. All hell IS breaking loose outside your window. The fact that you refer to a song in a commercial as a problem in this day and age is comical. If this is a big problem to you then your watching the news all wrong. go back and watch it again.
  6. live version of Every Word Means No from 1989.
  7. Maybe this will make your day then. (shockingly, there's a bunch of Lets Active stuff on there. i was feeling nostalgic went looking on a Friday night a month or 2 ago and kept myself entertained for awhile. I was a big Mitch Easter fan too. )
  8. It appears he thinks he is a better person, or at least dislikes anyone who has ever worked in marketing, thought about working in marketing, bought something marketed, bought a VW, worked at VW, marketed or sold VW, got laid in a VW, sold any product that required some type of advertising or marketing, as well as anyone who wanted to succeed, anyone who has succeeded, or anyone currently trying to succeed.
  9. It's a shot in the dark, but I'll guess those 25 year olds were 25 years old. Let me know if I win!
  10. well, for future reference, adding stuff like this: "and yet, people insist on posting Red Bank info in this thread!" to a thread title is a little over the top.
  11. I just wanted to try to narrow that down with places that I or people i know have actually eaten. Sometimes those things can be deceiving, like Ashes is listed in Bars & Lounges. It is a cigar bar & a restaurant too. A friend once sent us there on our anniversary and the food was great but dinner for 2 of us, without any drinks, and an appetizer was over $ 300.00. (Steak & Lobster Tail...$ 136.00 each) p.s. this should be in a red bank thread, not flick's Hammerstein thread! sorry
  12. The Dublin House, but then you said you would require food too, and like most Irish Bars, I only eat the Guinness there. It's other benefit is that a big commuter/shopper parking lot is directly behind it so I was looking at it as a one stop shopping. (as in park, drink, walk a few blocks to show, walk back, drink, make my wife drive me home.) There has been a real parking shortage in town since the mid 90's boom of people. It (Dublin House) changed owners in the last couple years so I don't know how the food is these days but there are a million places to eat in that town. I will
  13. . you didn't think i meant a train to jersey city did you?
  14. (looks like i'll have to hop a train and come in special to see you. some day, hopefully before the winter )
  15. I'm going to the Count Basie show in Red Bank which is why I asked if you were. (it's like 3 miles from my house) It also luckily fell on the the 1st friday of my vacation. I'm going to north carolina on the 23rd or 24th so i wasn't going to be around for the nyc shows.
  16. OMG, I'm Not! p.s. no count basie for you?
  17. nah, i don't give a shit about corporate marketing. i just liked the two thumbs up in the eye sockets line since i actually have one i can put my thumb in.
  18. if this starts up again, i'm giving this thread the same that dude gave that show: Two thumbs up. Up my own eye sockets! p.s. I don't get the correlation. Are you saying Ponds is selling out sponsoring a shit mini series or Ponds should use a a Wilco song cause they're easy?
  19. I did too and I'm asuming it was just because it was the Clash and the band ethic that made it so wrong. I don't know if I've changed over the few years since then or if it's just become so commonplace to hear things I like in commercials as opposed to songs I don't notice but one things for sure, I don't feel strong enough either way to argue it for 26 pages.
  20. I never suffered through anything. When i was young, the drinking age in most states was 18 but that meant you were able to buy beer when you were 16. this one vacation before me & the misses got married, we flew to portand oregon when my parents lived there and rented a car and drove to the grand canyon then across nevada and up through california and back to portland. i guess we shouldn't have driven through bryce nat. pk in the dark on the way to the grand canyon cause those wiki pics look awesome. (sad but true story)
  21. i'd rather hear a song i like in a commercial than a song that sucks. otherwise, the song that sucks might get stuck in my head all day which double sucks.
