  2. I voted, and do like above cause my shoulders always hurt and wake me up.
  3. HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU BOTH!!!! double Hope You have a great day!
  4. i think 50+ million americans living without coverage is 50+ million too many. the reason they don't have coverage is because it's too expensive and they can't afford it. I pay 80% more, personally & for employee's, than i did 5 years ago. I'm speechless because I don't think I've ever heard anyone actually say that " Health care is, for the most part, fine in the United States." it's too much money and come august for me, it will go up another 15% to 20% and that, to me, is a sure sign that there is something wrong with the system.
  5. those costs are dirt cheap compared to a major medical issue. god forbid anything real bad happens cause that $8k can turn into $80k, which could turn into $800k if you go from baby born - to car accident with spinal surgery & rehabiliitation - to brain cancer & post surgical treatment for a year. Then let me know how that "Everybody should pay for themselves when a medical necessity arises. " works out for you. (or the family you leave behind with the debt)
  6. I just can't wrap may head around the huge cost difference and always wordered about quality and coverage since we have nothing to compare to. As an employer and a covered employee, it kills me on both ends. Our cost for a family is $1,320.00 per month. We (the company) pay 2/3's as a benefit and the employee pays 1/3. (which I hear is pretty good these days) As the employee, that's $ 103.00 per week out of your check. (pretax, so it's not included in your taxable income at the end of the year) As the employer, I pay $871.00 per month as an employee benefit. Over 10k per year per family.
  7. and i just bought two very overpriced tickets for the 3/14 roseland show. i just have to keep telling myself that i've spent more money on stupider things in my day.
  8. that's the right time fame and i'm pretty sure it was the only time they were ever there. hell, it was the only time i was ever there. i lived in eastern monmouth county then so an hour to trenton was a big trip for me back then. i pretty much stayed in a 5 mile radius between the years of 1985 and 1992.
  9. as long as your not standing in front of me, you should be alright. i've been known to be a sloppy drinker. i saw the band a a crap place called city gardens in trenton nj a bazillion years ago. at the time there was no such thing as guinness served in places like that but you would leave soaked in sweat and bud, unfortunately. i did see shane mcgowan and the popes at irving plaza (i think) also many years ago now and yes, my shirt was pretty brown by the time we left the place but again, i'm sloppy and most of that spillage was self induced. had tickets for one of last years ny sho
  10. yea, if it revolved around alt or punk from 1984 thru 1991, i'd do better. i gave up at 10 or 12. new most artist but none of the titles. neat thing in general though
  11. this has been up on there site since before halloween. it took me forever to explain to my kids that they can't get them having never seen any of the movies. then i got to be bad dad because elsewhere on that site you can special order m&m's with custom words (for business advertising & the like) on them and i refused to spend like $50.00 for 4 7 oz bags of m&m's with their names on them.
  12. i just checked. i don't have it either but i do have the 3 singles discs a-man just listed. ( i think i got it from him posting all three of them a year and a half or so ago.)
  13. yea, i've been tring to learn spanish via telemundo, but that's my favorite part too. where and when i grew up, there was no such thing available to kids so i never played in my life and prolly never watched soccer till college in the early eighties. i love it now and wish it got more air time, like alot more airtime. also, from a parents perspective, i'll take 7 year olds playing soccer over 7 year olds playing softball or baseball any day of the week. i wish the beckham deal would help, but i'm more than a little pessimistic that it would change someone who watches football/baseball/
  14. Have a great birthday!! I'm burning a few copies of the pogues, live at the town & country from 1987 or so. I assume you have it but if you don't, let me know and you will then!
  15. It's empty the outside fridge night. I have actually had Amstel, Bud, Red Stripe & now Corona.
  16. i was at my brothers apt in nyc once in the pre cd days. there was a shopping bag in the car and someone smashed the car window to steal it only to find it full of tapes. they apparently didn't like our musical taste because they left them all and took nothing.
  17. mike, i don't suppose you could drop me one too, could you? if so, thanks in advance
  18. although one has nothing to do with the other, i'm sad to say the time change made me miss your birthday. hope you had a good day!!
