  1. I gave this stuff a listen. Not really my cup of tea, but not a bad start for you and your friends. I'd say you already have a pretty good idea of the things that need fixing. Now, how to fix them without pissing off everyone else....the only thing I could personally speak to is that drums are almost always recorded first and separate from the rest of the band. The drummer has to know his/her parts forward/backwards before even showing up at the studio. Practicing and recording with a metronome will help eliminate that "clunky" feeling. Keep on rocking

  7. I have been anticipating this release for a while now. So far, it hasn't disappointed.
  8. Twice I've put an almost full pack of gum through both washer and dryer. The money that I accidentally launder usually comes out fine.

  10. J. Ferrar makes clothing and shoes that you can buy at dept. stores. While I realize their influence on rock and roll, and well, pop culture as we know it, I just plain don't like the Beatles. And I'm really tired of Ringo making top 25/top 50 great dummer lists. If Jack White would have been making music like the new Raconteurs album all along, I would be waaaaaaaaaay into him. I really do hate Bon Jovi-for reasons I can't explain. I don't think it really has much to do with the music, either.
  11. Thanks so much guys. After a near 13-hour shift unloading semis of furniture, this is really nice to come home to. The rest of the evening will be spent eating pizza and relaxing. And by relaxing, I mean drinking beers. Tomorrow's the Okkervil/New Pornographers show and saturday is dinner with family and friends. Thanks again, it means a lot. P.S. Saturday has the word "turd" in it. Right in the MIDDLE!!!
  12. You've all got me confused with that other guy. My name is BRY-AN, not KEV-IN. Haha, I kid. If those all meant what I think they did, then back at you. All of you. DUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUDE!
  13. A letter of sorts: Okay, so since last thursday, I have been home for a total of 3 hours. Needless to say, haven't had much time to read/post in this thread. Now that I'm caught up, I want to say this: I had a great time. It was probably the most perfect weekend I've ever had. The weather, the parties, the people, the actual show, seeing Glenn's concert, the food, just everything. I was really glad to meet everyone I hadn't before, and it's always great to see old friends. Coming away from the experience, I feel lucky to be a part of a community that is so loving and generous. I als

  16. Hey, that was me on Edie's phone! I told her to tell me if you called back, but I'm not sure that I ever saw her wine glass empty.....
