  1. This story was on msnbc, pitchfork, av club, chicago tribune, time, and variety. The work has already been done. If the choice between a drive to Cincinnati, Louisville, Chicago, or not seeing Wilco for many months is punishment, you've lead a charmed life.
  2. There it is ^. Thank you for your sincerity Wilco Me.
  3. Well they've certainly added attention to the cause.
  4. Oh sorry, it should have been my "sour grapes" defense, not my "conservative Foo fan" dismissal. Hurt feelings all around either way. I am also outraged.
  5. The sour beer place! Not for the faint of heart. My wife loves sour beers. I enjoy one from time to time.
  6. Yes, grammys tell us who makes the best music and Indiana's conservative legislators have no problem with LGBQ folks. Looks like you've got it figured out. We'll miss you over here with our crappy band and our misguided queer agenda. Good luck!
  7. I find the appropriation of "bigot" on the part of those in favor of the law to be baffling.
  8. My new favorite for when I'm feeling fancy is Boulevard Brewing out of KC makes a farmhouse called Tank 7. It's really stinking good. Which is funny that I've become obsessed with a beer out of Missouri. Denver has become craft brew mecca with a new brewery opening every couple months. Anyhow, I like the farmhouse/saison thing. It seems to be the perfect mix of big flavor while still being refreshing. I like a big IPA, or stout as much as the next guy but sometimes they feel like "staying in and going to bed early" kind of beers.
  9. Classy website. Good story. But really, I suppose some good old boys will use this silliness as a "so this is what it's come to" example when discussing issues of race in our country. Quite diverting.
  10. I think any time you have a radical religious faction seeking to govern the public with intolerant and discriminatory laws you should watch out. We're lucky to have a first amendment.
  11. And into operating a country without an Internal Revenue Service.
  12. That guy's been through plenty, but whatever puts lead in your pencil. In other news, I hear gentleman Cruz is serious about leading our country.
  13. When will people learn that the flash on your camera makes the colors of your photos ugly, and it's both ineffective and unnecessary when photographing someone under a theater's stage lights?
  14. In other news Boehner has been setting up congressional meetings with foreign leaders behind the president's back. I'm so curious to see how this plays out.
  15. So then how do we interpret Obama being poised to leave office with a balanced budget? I thought Democrats were supposed to spend us into the ground? I don't mean to be flip, it's just interesting to see how the stereotypes or sales pitches break down, as mentioned about Cruz. Clinton for example cut a lot of needy people off of welfare. Obama has been big for oil overall and he's used the military plenty. I guess at a federal level, neither party sticks to the mold.
  16. Yeah agreed on the ambivalence concerning the Keystone. It's neither averting environmental devastation, nor losing us millions of revenue that it's been stopped again. As you mentioned, that oil is still being used. The one thing that most folks didn't seem to catch with that conversation was that it's Canadian oil that's being shipped overseas with the gulf as a port. Not a big windfall for the U.S there. Also, there was some crazy eminent domain stuff that was highly questionable in ethical/legal terms. When you have a foreign government/corporation plowing through your farmland eyebrows
  17. ^ I agree. And what's interesting is the cycle from primary to elections has become like this: Primary- be a radical, Dem's push a social-democracy type agenda, Republicans push an extreme neo-con agenda. Actual election- be a moderate. Reaching across the aisle, luring swing votes and trying to survive all that stuff you said that was too far afield earlier.
  18. There's no such thing. Not that it makes the lyric great.
  19. How bout that GOP lapsing funding on Homeland Security in a futile attempt to halt the immigration bill?
  20. That shit's lame. Seat saving should be limited to like 4 people in GA.
