  1. Perhaps I could scrape up a little dough for a charity. PLUS, we could do all of our decorations in macrame!
  2. As much as I love to donate to charity, we are decidedly NOT rich, nor are we "well off" or even "comfortable" for that matter. I had thought about that option in my fantasy. Thanks for humoring me.
  3. Blue and Green and I (lovenmercy) have spent three years getting to know each other and falling in love to Jeff's songs. It would be a dream come true to have Jeff play Someday, Some Morning, Sometime at our wedding. So, just for fun, I want to see what other VC'ers think it would take to make this pipe dream come true?
  4. Depending on my mood... Sky Blue Sky You Are My Face Side With the Seeds Shake It Off (The most underrated song on the album by Via Chicago members.)
  5. I like the classics, so Wuthering Heights is a good choice. It's sadistically romantic. Siddhartha is also good. It's take on self-discipline/ enlightenment is interesting. I read Enders Game in a class for teaching adolescent literature. I didn't expect to like it because it was sci-fi, but it was so well written that I liked it very well.
  6. Side With the Seeds- amazing solo You Are My Face- "I have no idea how this happens..." Shake It Off- I'm lovin' the new "wooo!" I like elements of each of these both live and on the album.

Wow, thank you. It really means alot. You're very kind.
  8. I just said that I realized things were different here. No need to be smug.
  9. Seconded. Ryan Adams and SPOON, BABY!!!!!!! ("I turn my camera on... ")
  10. Oh, I see that things have changed quite a bit since the last time I was on here. I'll put this thread in the proper forum. Sorry.
  11. Ooo, Ooo, Ooo! Me too, please! I'll send you a b&p and my left kidney for a copy. I'll file my formal request in the "reflecting of your cd" forum next week. Thank you, lovely VC friend.

Omygosh! Does anyone have this recorded?
  13. I have a hell of a time downloading stuff online, so if there were any tapers at the Indy show last night who would be willing to send me the show on discs...Please Let Me Know!
  14. Oh, my goodness, that was a wonderful show! I loved the owl, the Indianapolis "Shake It Off" invention, and the set list. And boy was it nice to see Jeff looking so healthy and happy; he looked great! The energy was fantastic in that place... with the band and the crowd.
  15. As glad as I am that you enjoyed their show, at LOLLA they were the human equivalent of stick figures on stage, and lame ones at that. I had waited excitedly to see them all day, and was pretty disappointed. The crowd wasn't too excited either.
  16. Thanks for being the kind of band I can really get fanatical about. I haven't been able to do that since I was thirteen! Thanks, Wilco!
  17. I don't know what's been mentioned thus far, but I'd have to go with Tom Waits-What's He Building in There?
  18. Ooh! Since we're on Stevie Wonder, I have to mention the classic Signed, Sealed, Delivered (I'm Yours)
  19. Who, me? Because the post above me noted Randy.
  20. The Shins sound great recorded, but good lord are they boring live. Almost as boring as you boys' conversation up to now.
  21. Good Day Sunshine-Beatles AND The Yeah, Yeah, Yeah Song-Flaming Lips... This song makes me so happy I spaz out in my car, pounding on the steering wheel, head banging, and generally being a freak. Watch out fellow drivers!
  22. So, I was at a sports bar yesterday watching the Notre Dame/UCLA game. I was rooting for ND when my boyfriend looked at me and said, "What are you wearing that for?!!!" I had a UCLA sweatshirt on that I got when I visited my dad in CA. I'm such a dork.
