  1. His voice is even more beautiful and soulful live. It's a very good show. I think he's not very engaging because he's always too damn stoned!
  2. Tweedy Family, My thoughts and prayers are with you. May you find comfort after the loss of your dear one. She lived a beautiful, giving life. ~Brittany
  3. That is sooooo cool! (Tweedy, not the dumbass and his antics) Helluva way to handle the situation.
  4. Hurt--Johnny Cash's version (damn) How to Disappear Completely--Radiohead Silence--The Autumn Defense Lost Cause--Beck Vincent--Don McLean Across the Universe--The Beatles Undertaker--M. Ward Burn--Ray LaMontagne All the Wild Horses--Ray LaMontagne Be Not So Fearful--sung by Tweedy (inspiring, gorgeous, heartbreaking) Gymnopedie, No.1 (Lent et Douloureux)--played by Moura Lympany Just to name a few. I also agree with The Golden Age-Beck; For No One-Beatles; Creep-Radiohead

  6. so he slept, on a mountain in a sleeping bag underneath the stars he would lie awake and count them And fell off a dock, he couldn't swim and his heart stopped a gold snake, slid from the sky and swallowed him up
  7. Whew! You pedantic ones sure do like to pick at each other! Anyway... documentary=good extras=better music mags/critics=interesting at the least I own and like the dvd, and I'm glad it's getting some airtime!

  10. Thanks, I think I'll probably do that!
  11. I have to give a demonstration speech in one of my college classes that lasts 5-7 minutes. I need topic ideas soon! Please help.
  12. I think Radiohead, The Flaming Lips("Ancient Melodies of the Future"), and Beck ("The Information" and "Guero") are kind of "duh" answers, so I'll go with... Built to Spill "You in Reverse" My Morning Jacket "Z" The Doves "Some Cities" The National "Alligator" Ray LaMontagne "Trouble" and "Till the Sun Turns Black" Spoon "Gimme Fiction" South kicks ass as well. I believe their first cd is self-titled. Also, I wouldn't waste my time on Bright Eyes, Death Cab, or Elliot Smith.
  13. This is truly an extraordinary album. "Measuring Cups" performed live at Lollapalooza is amazing. Also, the last track entitled "ethiobirds" is one of the most hauntingly beautiful instrumentals I've ever heard. If you haven't picked up a copy yet, I would strongly suggest doing so. Are there any other highlights from those who have had the pleasure of listening to this recording?

  16. Oh, mama, don't walk away I'm a goddamn sore loser I ain't too proud to say But I'm still thinking 'bout you I'm so lonesome without you I can't get you out of my mind Oh, mama, don't leave me alone When my soul shut down so tight Just like a stone cold tomb Ain't it clear when I'm near you I'm just dying to hear you Calling my name one more time Oh, so don't pay no mind To my watering eyes Must be something in the air that I'm breathing Yes, and try to ignore All this blood on the floor It's just this heart on my sleeve that is bleeding Oh, mama, don't walk away You leave me here a'
