  1. HELL YEAH! I'm wearing the Gonzo Power shirt to the polls. HST, Toot, this one is for YOU.
  2. Have you heard from Lou? I was wondering if you guys were heading over..
  3. I'd like to have a get together with folks, but I don't know...I just might have to sweat it out by myself with a bottle of tequila.
  4. Not really one of my favorites either. The '94-'95 versions were as good as that song got - very experiental, but once the cowfunk hit I did see way too many versions that just didn't go anywhere.
  5. I don't know nuthin' 'bout no sega genesis.
  6. Nice! How is Ike lookin'? Last time I saw him he looked pretty tore up.
  7. I'm not too sure about this part. Is this supposed to sway me to vote against Obama? Because it's not working, my friend.
  8. Goodbye, Lonesome Cowboy Burt - you were very much loved on planet Earth, and points beyond. Jimmy was legendary for his almost unnatural fondness for beer, so everybody crack one open for the man.
  9. You are all dead wrong. It's gonna come down to Lake County, IN - AND we won't know the decision until my birthday (Dec. 8) I keed, kids. I have Barack 318-220. With an upset for Obama in IN.
  10. That's exactly right. Some of those same people are the first to whine when they have to get a front-end alignment because of "all of these coddamn potholes".
  11. The Indy Star had Barack 46-45, with 6% not sure last night. FWIW.
  12. Well, we could go the route of the MLB threads and start a 'hot stove' thread for campaign '12. Good Lord, did I just say that? Wtf is wrong with me?
  13. You're absolutely right, Crow. But I do think no one in their right mind wants to have this country go into the crapper. There's too many good things worth saving to let the whole thing go down the drain. Since we're at the end of this long road now I just want to say a couple of things: 1) I've really enjoyed these threads over the past 6 months. A LOT of good info has been passed around, and some well thought-out opinions have been voiced from all sides. Well done, folks. 2) For the most part civility has been the order of the day. I wasn't here in Fall '04 so I expected the worst.
  14. A real rough first half of the season for the horseshoes, and the second half doesn't look any easier (Pittsburgh next week) but anytime they can beat the Pats it's a good thing. In the last decade this has become one of the better rivalries in pro sports.
  15. 11/2/69 - Family Dog at the Great Highway, San Francisco CA Cold Rain, Midnight Hour, Seasons, Mama Tried, Next Time, Good Lovin',Big Boss Man, Casey Jones, Dancin', Dark Star > St. Stephen > The Eleven > Lovelight > Death Don't I think I've mentioned this before, but this take on Dark Star might be my favorite from all of '69 (well, along with 4/22). VERY dreamy version. Also, you must hear the version of Next Time - it's ridiculously slow and grungy - a unique version.
  16. I'll assume that's on the outskirts of Cincinnasty. Anyway, welcome!
  17. I've never understood why the media portrays the Republican Party as having church-going folks in their back pocket. It's not only wildly inaccurate, it's also grossly unfair. I know MANY people who are deeply religious that vote Democrat (or at least split ticket). I don't mean to offend anyone here, but many of the people the Republicans count on for the 'evangelical' vote seem to be completely brainwashed by blind faith. They'll stubbornly turn a deaf ear to irrefutable evidence (example: age of the Earth) and will gladly swallow whatver BS the party shovels at them. And then, behind their
  18. There's nothing wrong with you man. Of course, you quoted me so I could be biased.
  19. I was in Wally World last week (don't ask, don't tell ) and I saw the Black Ice display. They had some back catalogue in there, and they were selling If You Want Blood for 7 bucks! I had to think hard before I did realize I already have the vinyl. But 7 bucks? That's a good deal.
  20. This is sad news. Wow, can Durbin be old enough to have a kid that's 40? Anyway, I don't always agree with Durbin but he does seem to be a compasionate man whose priorities are in good order. The MB clan sends out heartfelt condolences to the family.
  21. I was sitting in a bar in Central Indiana and the TX/Tech game was on. Obviously there are some Tech fans around here (Knight) but when Tech scored at the end the whole place went nuts like it was a Colts game or something. Unreal.
