  1. I read somewhere last week that a Yankees ball cap once worn by Babe Ruth sold for $328,000.
  2. I'm glad to see America: The Book sneak in there. Easily one of the funniest things I've ever read.
  3. 7/19/90 - Deer Creek, Noblesville IN I: Jack Straw, TLEO, Desolation Row, Row Jimmy, Picasso Moon, Althea > Promised II: Victim > Foolish > Playin' > China Doll > UJB > Drums > Space > Watchtower > Black Peter > NFA E: U.S. Blues The last time I saw Brent ( he died 7 days later). This is a pretty strong show, especially pre-drums. The thing I remember most about this show was it was very hot, and during Row Jimmy my friend Ron suddenly turned pale as a sheet. I took off during Picasso to get him a soda and he perked up a bit after that. We didn't know it a
  4. Innaresting little story here - Bob says NO: http://www.politico.com/news/stories/0708/11763.html
  5. I wish I could have been there. Sounds like you all had a great time!
  6. Mine arrived today too. Many thanks Whitty. Looking forward to digging into this!
  7. Feel free to look at my etree list (on my profile). I'm sure I've added some commentary about the shows I have.
  8. I have a guitar pick (fender medium) signed by the whole band. That's gotta be worth a buttload of $$$.

  10. Awww. Bassets are the best man! So small at 10 weeks - but it wont take long before they're a 60 pound lap dog that will make your leg fall asleep! Best of luck!
  11. YES! I went over to visit my parents (who are HUGE Who fans btw - at age 68!) tonight and they were watching/tivoing the show. I got to see the Lips medley and I thought it was just fucking amazing! Can't wait to see the whole thing. Also, they'd never heard of the Lips - but after the medley, and my recommendations, I think I may have some converts here. They were quite impressed.
  12. If it were me, I'd take Sadie, Tex and Squeaky.
  13. Ask your local Physical Education teacher. Or not.
  14. You've been CLINE'D Glad you got to see them girl! Isaw my first NCS show last month and it was everything I wanted - truly mind blowing.
  15. SkyKev, Even if you're not here (online) you're always in our hearts dude. No worries.
  16. Oh yeah, teh Cincinnati River Sludge! Man we used to go through that stuff. When I first turned 21 a local bar had Little Kings promotion nights - t-shirts, posters, etc. 3 LKs for a buck - you could go uptown with a ten dollar bill and just get hammered.
  17. Me too. Still perhaps the most notorious crimes in American history. Anyone ever read (right hand man) Paul Watkins' My Life With Charles Manson? A riveting, creepy book.
  18. There will be tickets that magically appear on the day of show. Not many, of course, but if you're vigilant on the internets on the DOS you'll score one, from my experience.
  19. The Chili Peppers doing Zep's "The Crunge".
  20. I didn't see it, but I heard Steven was drinking that Bud Light with lime stuff on The Report last night.
  21. Thanks for the heads up, Poppydawn! I think I'll crank me up some Dust Bowl Ballads right now. I don't know if you could ever measure the man's importance - simply one of the greatest artists in the history of music.
  22. That 7/19/74 is one of my favorites from an outstanding year. Kieth Godchaux's birthday that night - he seems really on here. The WRS > Spanish Jam > Eyes is the highlight for me.
  23. I don't know how I forgot SRV - he DOES do a lot of instrumentals. I was listening to the first LP tonight and "Rude Mood" and "Lenny" are both stellar.
