  1. I agree. It shows the boys having some fun. Reminds me somewhat of when Fishman would come down from the drums & warble "Cracklin' Rosie" or "Purple Rain" or some such.
  2. Thanks Wendy for that. I'd really like to see Jay get his physical ailments taken care of. He's a performer in the archaic sense of the word...it has to come out & everyone should want to have a healthy JB with us for much more good times & music.
  3. I hate to say this, but I almost hope teh Pacers don't get in...I don't look forward to playing the Pistons.
  4. We need an official clarification on this. Maybe the Admins have the Constitution or rule book...
  5. Happy Birfday Owl! Thanks for spreading all the quality music too.
  6. Pete wrote that when he was what, 30? Over half his lifetime ago....and he's still kickin' (thank God!).
  7. Here's a comp of all live material.. Lou Reed/ Transformer --Intro/Sweet Jane Humble Pie--I'm Ready Canned Heat--Bullfrog Blues Kinks--Low Budget Deep Purple--Lazy Leon Russell--Mighty Quinn Medley Genesis--The Knife Grand Funk--Inside Looking Out Stones--Midnight Rambler Neil Young--Powderfinger Rush--La Villa Strangiato Yes--Starship Trooper Allman Bros.--In Memory of Elizabeth Reed Floyd--Saucerful of Secrets Hendrix--Star Spangled Banner Dylan/Band--Blowin' Grateful Dead--Feedback/We Bid You Goodnight ok, that's two cds..but wtf?
  8. Wow. Nice batch of tunes there!
  9. The blurring of the distinctions between 'entertainment' & 'hard' news is so pervasive anymore that it's really difficult to take anything you hear in without thinking it's all bullshit. It really seems hard to believe anything ( I didn't say in anything)
  10. HA! Been at the ol' 6/18/74, eh? BIODTL w/ "My Old Kentucky Home" tease? YEAH
  11. Somewhere in the VHS Archives I have that ridiculous interview Geraldo did with Chuck Manson...now that was funny shit.
  12. I'll agree that Sabbath is underrated, but there are a few people ( Dylan, the Fabs) that simply cannot be overrated imo. Hell, Dylan's most trivial bottom-of-the-sock-drawer tunes are still more captivating than 90% of the swill that passes for popular music today.
  13. Awesome. It's strange times we live in INDEED when Geraldo sounds like the voice of reason.
  14. I never use an alarm. Pocahontas wakes me up by turning off the fan (tinnitus) & sticking a hot mug of tea in my face. Or NOW, putting the Bassegator in teh bed...a few bites on the toes or fingers...that shit will get you awake pretty quick!
  15. Perhaps there should be a thread where we rank the SBS songs in the order in which they appear on the record, yes?
  16. Jesus, that's a crazy story! Perhaps the reason it's not on the list....the Ohio Players weren't a Rock band? It should be on there though.
  17. Nice interview. My favorite part was the 'who's your favorite new band' question. With the exception of the band that inspired this here board ( and they're not new anyway), and a couple of others, I couldn't agree more with Keef.
  18. Do tell, Sir P....I have no idea.
  19. To the distinguished gentleman from TX: You KNOW you used to be nicer.
  20. There's a book out there called, ermmm, "My Life With Charles Manson" by Paul Watkins that talks about this...pretty innaresting in a tabloid kind of way. The things those people allegedly did to Dennis to blow his mind!
  21. Mad Hatter IPA ( Holland, MI ). Mmmmm.
  22. If you're a freak for this stuff you gotta read all the versions you can, I guess. Make your own conclusions.
