Call the venue.

So, do I. I just went and checked the channels and it looks like that channel is on there.
-
Yeah, the only thing from that outfit that is missing is a nice revolver on this side.
-
Thanks.

Without having to dig out my album, can someone answer this for me? Who is singing on this track? I ask because on both versions it doesn't sound like Jeff. Is it John?
-
Somebody posted some videos on YouTube. I guess we did suck at clapping. I am also glad I wasn't by these people who were talking through the songs, like "Too Far Apart".

In Chicago, Dr. Dog came on at 6:30 and ended at 7:00. Wilco came on almost 30 minutes exactly after Dr. Dog ended around 7:30. So, it looks like they hit the stage about one to one and a half hours after the show starts. Have fun.

Was it me or was there a second (white) poster?
-
I thought somebody here mentioned they heard part of "Magazine Called Sunset" around sound check time?
-
I was going to say 'last night in Chicago', but it wasn't a real surprise that they rocked so hard. In Feb, my brother and I drove down to Tucson from Phoenix to see Glenn play. I was surprised when I was sitting there waiting for the show to start and he (Glenn) and my brother cut through the crowd and he walked up to me and gave me a hug and remembered me from so long ago. After chatting for a minute, he looks around, sees the crowd staring at him, then says to me, "Oh, I guess I should start the show...". Very cool!

I have never heard of Spoon before this summer when XRT has been playing them. I must admit, the album is growing on me a lot. I'm really digging, "Rhythm And Soul" the most.
-
I personally didn't care for Dr. Dog. They weren't bad, but they didn't appeal to me. Although, maybe that's because I was so excited to hear Wilco.
-
I saw him standing, but didn't think that's what he meant by it. I also caught Jeff blowing a kiss at Glenn a few times. They did not read any of the messages or say who requested the songs. Sorry, don't have one. XRT also had a small stack at their booth in the rear. I wonder what the odds are of winning one of the ten (or eleven) lyric sheets of "What Light" signed by Jeff. And did anyone else think this venue looked like a new aged Sydney opera house on steroids?

I also noticed a lot of people leaving early too. At one point Jeff mentioned people having to work the next day, but to not show up. Like you said k8tee, some people did come down to the front towards the end, but security was pretty good about keeping them out. There were also way too many people moving around (going to the restroom, etc) during the show. Why can't people just stay at their seat and enjoy the show? Oh yeah, "Via Chicago" was dedicated to Glenn from Jeff and the band requested a song too, but I can't remember what that was. Maybe "Too Far Apart".

Yeah, that was starting to get on my nerves too.

Dr. Dog played for 30 minutes and Wilco went on at 7:30 (an hour after Dr. Dog started). Hope this helps.
-
I even noticed a camera man with audio man on the side of the stage where Wilco entered and exited. When they went off stage, the camera man followed them. And since I didn't see any large screens, I bet and hope it's for something good.

Yeah, there was a guy with a huge mic walking around, but I too don't know who he was. There was confirmation in the other thread (after the show) that somebody taped it and it will be up in like a week. So, thanks to whoever taped it.
-
This show said it started at 6:30 and it did so, almost on the dot.
-
I hope all those video cameras moving around were for some future DVD or something because that was one hell of a show! When you first walked in, you were given good sized magnets with the event poster on them in case you couldn't afford the $25 poster (like me). My seats were pretty close and the first two songs seemed to fly by because I was in awe of Wilco. Dr. Dog did alright, but I couldn't wait for Wilco to come on and aparently the security guard didn't like Dr. Dog because he fell asleep during their songs. This wasn't a good thing because is was guarding the ramp to the stage (lef

In Chicago of all place. Ok, so I'm heading off soon. I'll have dark green pants on with a black shirt with white text that says 'exhale studios' on it. If you see me, come by and high five me (or say hi).
-
I've never seen them before, so I don't know how Wilco crowds are, but I guess people will sit for the first song then stand up. Most of the shows I go to, as soon as the first note is hit, the crowd goes crazy (usually hard rock or metal shows).
-
Is this a public performance or private since you need tickets?
-
Nobody has been able to answer this question, but at the first and only other ticketed paid event at MP, there was alcohol sold inside. I tried to find this out, but the very front was blocked. If you're in 105, you will have great seats no matter what row you're in! I say that because I'm in 106 and am happy with my seats.

That sucks. Why go to a Wilco show then? I will be glued to my chair tomorrow, well not the chair, but my general area around the chair. There will be plenty of fist pumping, cheering, head nodding, and maybe a little dancing in my area.
