  1. I read what you wrote about Wilco and enjoyed it. I don't quite agree with the part about "I'm Always In Love" sounding like Wilco's imitation of Weezer, but all in all, nice overview of the band. But what did I love seeing more than the Wilco post you ask? The Ghost Busters post. I absolutely love that movie and the sequel. I agree about the humor being less "ha ha" and more cynical, but some people just don't get it. However, as a kid, in the late 80s, I thought that movie was supposed to be scary, only to find out later in life it was freaking hilarious. Two scenes that alway
  2. The second disc has a section called, "I Am Trying To Make A Film" and there is a great moment where Glenn does his best Clint Eastwood type impression to the camera that keeps following him 'all the time'.
  3. Either the New Mexico show because it was awesome or the Missoula, MT show.
  4. Don't think this is a complaint. I did notice there are more songs played than listed in the quicktime .mov file and some are mislabeled, but nothing major.
  5. This is from page 11. I think somebody (Ken) was reading the thread. No. Neither night made it to the air, but we are blessed with all three nights in the roadcase and they all are perfect quality. Next live webcast I'll be here with you.
  6. Missed what? The live broadcast? It never happened. And yes, another one would be very generous. {{{{ vibes for your dad }}}}
  7. Wow, all those photos look like awesome places to see a band. The only good outdoor venue I've been at was Jay Pritzker Pavilion.

This thread is so odd because I was driving home and listening to SBS thinking, "It's been a year or so since this has been out. Has my attitude towards this album changed?" I still love it, but after hearing live versions of the songs, I would love to hear more piano on songs like "You Are My Face". It seems like Mike had his volume turned down. Completely agree.
  9. Thanks for sharing this. Funny stuff.
  10. As I was driving around today listening to "Side With The Seeds", a memory from the show came back to me which brought a smile to my face. During that song, the guitar Nels was playing stopped working. He tried plugging it in all over his board, but nothing. With the quickly arriving second face melting solo, he switched guitars until he came across the one with the photos on it. Sorry, I don't know the official name; I'm not a guitar guy. Jeff sang his last words in the song, "...if you side with me" and just then, his new guitar came to life and Jeff looked very happy about this and Nel
  11. Hey, thanks again Ken for posting those shows. Amazing quality too. I like how you can choose the songs too.
  12. I didn't even try it. Pop would have even been nice.
  13. "Playing KISS covers..."
  14. Dudes, I just heard the first ten seconds or so of "Casino Queen" on the Adam Corolla radio show. For those of you who don't know, he usually plays rock/heavy rock in this show when he's not talking. Wow, that was surprising.
  15. It sounds like all three St. Louis shows will be up tomorrow. "COMPLETE ST. LOUIS ARCHIVE - COMING TO THE ROADCASE 5.20.08"
  16. There was at least one guy recording the show, but for whatever reason, I didn't talk to him and find out who he was. Did anyone speak to the tapper?
  17. Nice review. I loved how you called "Too Far Apart", barn burning. For whatever reason, that imagery really struck a chord with me.
  18. Ken, thanks for letting us know what happened. I know issues like that happen and it wasn't the end of the world. I do look forward to hearing the recordings.
  19. I doubt it, but did they mention anything about the webcast?

No, I've never had the chance to see the Nels Cline Singers. Hopefully, you get the chance to experience Wilco live soon. It's a blast.
  21. They should make signs reading, "If you talk through the concert, we will send our attack bees to get you. Enjoy the show."
  22. Wow. So, glad we got to hear this over the internet tonight. Yeah, Bob Dylan's 49th Beard then HMD. Yes!
