  1. Dino, Jr., Jr.! How's the album? They've been pretty sporadic the last 10 years, haven't they? Enjoy the show. I'll look for them out here.
  2. Unless they were misplaced in the wrong slot on the rack, it said $5 and change. I was in a rush so it's entirely possible that I didn't read it right. I've also heard that the blade should be rinsed under the faucet after every stroke to help clear the hair and prevent bumps/cuts. Supposedly most guys run 2-3 swipes before rinsing to save time. It seems like a pain in the ass but I started practicing it and have noticed it helps.
  3. See, but it's not pronounced "awnry." It's pronounced aw-NEH-ree. People mis-pronounce this word all the time.
  4. Yeah, just tossing it out there. I see Francona tinkering with the line-up to fit the situation more, though (obviously with no DH, but more so than usually still). He's not afraid to make moves and he's usually pretty accurate with them.
  5. Good points, Jorge. However, the reality is you've gotta find what works best for your own mug. I got the Gillette Fusion (36 blades, I believe) and have really enjoyed the shaving I get from it. I bought a 4-pack of cartridges last week for $5. Pricey, a bit. But the shaves I get have been nick-free, smooth (no bumps), and pleasant. I'm not averse to using disposables, but for now the Fusion is my boy. Good point on shaving after the shower, El. I heard this somewhere a year or two ago and the reason that it supposedly is better is due to the steam from the shower softening up the face. I
  6. I really think it'll depend on how Ortiz says his leg is by tomorrow. If the knee is good/he takes another shot to it then I don't see why Francona would sit him. Manny, on the other hand, could have problems in LF at Coors. I'm not saying that he'd be sat, but it may come down to him being replaced in LF with Ellsbury with a lead. Youkilis hasn't played RF, but he did play LF for Manny last year when he was out for about 20 games. There are a few scenarios to consider and I'm confident in Francona's handling of it as he's proven to be a stellar manager. It'll be interesting.
  7. Nice pitching from both sides last night. Jeemer was great last night. The long relief and absolutely blowing the Rockies away. Papelbon's 97-98 mph fast ball helped a bit , too. I agree that the Rockies were simply out-pitched. It was a good match up between Jimenez and Schilling but Okajima and Papelbon were on fire. The Rockies backs are against the wall but I can see the Denver part of the series going either way, with suspect pitching from both sides. Fogg and Cook are definitely hittable, as is Matsuzaka if he gets in a funk early. Lester for game 4? Certainly hittable. It'll
  8. Was that A-Rod "clutch hitter" award given to him at the end of April?
  9. The weather here the last two days has been absolutely perfect: upper 70s, no clouds, etc. It's looking to be more of the same come Saturday. Though snow for a WS game would be cool.
  10. Denny Neagle and Mike Hampton? Really, though, the Rockies have brought a bunch of great players up through their Farm system. This is the key to where they are right now. The Sox are notorious for doing the same. Of course, the willingness to spend freely on free agaents doesn't hurt, either.
  11. Yes. But watch out: when they get to Coors they won't be able to score any runs or play any defense sitting one guy! I could see either the Sox or the Rockies winning 1 or 2 at Coors with the upcoming pitching this weekend. If the Sox win tonight and take a game a Coors, well....
  12. I usually let "axe" slide, too. Though I will tell them it's going to hurt if they axe me something. With "mines" I go through a little spiel once or twice at the beginning of the year when it comes up about the silver and gold mines in Colorado.
  13. I'd say Beckett is "on" tonight. 7 K's through 4....
  14. Welcome to Fenway, Jeff Francis!! Here Comes Your Man, indeed.
  15. If there's one thing I know it's kids. And kids love fruit salad molds. Each youngster gets a fresh 3 oz. slice.
  16. Way back in '01. Anyway, I've got too many bones to pick with your opinions so I'll let it lie.
  17. I'm well aware of problems in Ireland, and he may or may not have personal experiences with terrorism, but this doesn't negate the fact that there is cause for fear here among some people. Americans are "insanely stupid" to fear terrorism doesn't gibe with me. There is recent history in the U.S. to easily validate any fears people might have. I think the giving up of civil liberties is a valid point. There is a fine line between treading on civil liberties and enacting new laws to accommodate modern security issues, though. I don't agree with it, per se, but a part of me believes some things
