  1. Sam Cutler's You Can't Always Get What You Want. My best friend sent it to me as a gift this week. He hung out with Cutler for a good hour or so at Lock'n last year and really got a kick out of him. I'm actually surprised the book doesn't have a co-writer as it's pretty well written. He's an articulate dude with some serious history to share.
  2. It's so true, though. Jump. Might as well jump.
  3. Nice. They really are fantastic. They're back in Denver next weekend. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-VSQPVAX34g
  4. I thought you were referring to the Clapton/ABB thing, but you're referring to Los Lobos guy for lead in the GD Tribute band, correct?
  5. I've never heard a sbd of SPAC '83 and would love to. One of the best "Dew"s ever, imo.
  6. So they run on 2nd, still. If they don't get it, call a time out and run it again or go with an option play for 3rd down. Atticus is gonna be hot about this stray of discussion involving the dreaded sports, too.
  7. They could have run on 2nd and 3rd down, though. Two shots for Lynch is pretty good odds, or at least an option play on 3rd for Wilson to possibly run it in if an obvious receiver wasn't open (assuming a run w/ Lynch failed on 2nd down) on a potential 3rd down....
  8. Saw Hornsby's first appearance with GD at Buckeye on accordion. It was a hoot.I liked some of those Hornsby tunes he brought to the GD, too, like Valley Road and Stander on the Mountain....
  9. Was he offered the job? That'd have been a weird fit. And hey, Gregg is still alive....
  10. While looking for a dog cage Saturday, I picked up these discs at the 3rd ARC/Goodwill store of the day my wife dragged me to. It was "50% off Everything" day: Steve Earle: Transcendental Blues Neil Diamond: Love Songs Lightnin' Hopkins. Some 4-disc compilation set. Glen Campbell: Some compilation. It has a picture of his head on the front, like almost every other Glen Campbell album.
  11. Yeah, catching JRAD next month. My wife and buddy went a few months ago and raved about it. Looking forward to the shows.
  12. Oh man I meant in a great way!! Loved it. * poor choice of words
  13. I have that box set too. Excellent. Went to the two JGB Merriweather shows (a Pure Jerry release) and they were excellent. The shit with Clarence is over the top, though.
  14. Nice, Moss. I'd pm but have "too many" discs as is. I'm with Griddles on the cd thing yet still buy them.
  15. I think it's been pretty substantiated that these 3 will be the only and final 3. i sense it's going to be pretty hairy that weekend.
  16. Well, it certainly wouldn't have been this high of a demand if they were doing a tour/mini-tour....
  17. Hard Working Americans is an amalgamation of musicians from other bands (plus Todd Snider on vocals, who solo you might appreciate). Their first album came out over a year ago (recorded at Weir's TRI studios) and they are working on their second. Caught them live and enjoyed them a lot, but I'm a big Todd Snider fan regardless.
  18. Supposedly about 350,000 ticket requests for the 3 days.
  19. Comparing anything after to the GD is pointless, though. I think Weir, Phil, Bill, and Mickey are all happily doing what they want, musically. That's success in itself. I've liked hearing some of it, loved hearing some of it, and been ambivalent to some of it.
