Poor Places (YHF demo version) for solo acoustic guitar
Gobias Industries replied to Jmendel's topic in Lyrics and Tabs
I can tabulate the IATTBYH version (open Bb version) later when I get home. I figured it out a while back. edit: here's a thread on the IATTBYH version but I can compile it together into a neat package if need be. -
Yeah, congrats to the Cs, the Lakers pretty much bent over and took it. So I was 50% right about my prediction...

Gram Parsons - In My Hour of Darkness -
I want to get into this laddy meself and need some pointers. I figure that $8.99 for GP/Grievous Angel on Amazon MP3 is a good starting point, but where to go from there? I did a little bit of research on my own, and I've heard about FBB's The Gilded Palace of Sin and the Byrds' Sweetheart of the Rodeo...but that's about it. Thanks! And if you already a big fan of the fellow yourself that's cool.

Golden Smog - Pecan Pie I personally prefer the "Wild" side of Honey Pie myself... edit: oops, were already mentioned.

Wanna dance with the Flaming Lips?

I'm not really sure what to think of it. -
Tiger is the man. I guess I feel a bit like a tool rooting for the all-out-greatest-golfer-right-now-and-perhaps-ever but, hey, he carries it well, as compared to, say, LeBron or Kobe who flaunt that shyte day in and day out.

New Election 2008 thread
Gobias Industries replied to Duck-Billed Catechist's topic in Tongue-Tied Lightning
Interesting...would like for him to show up in the slot, though he may have to get a tad more aggressive when it comes to his debate time. I recall him not being very aggressive pinning Cheney on issues so hopefully he'll be a little more bold when it comes time. Well, and in general. -
I haven't listened to it in full but from what I heard it's decent, but it just seems so...unadventurous.

Movies Watched with the Most Tissues Needed
Gobias Industries replied to Wilco Worshipper's topic in Tongue-Tied Lightning
It may be cheesy, but any movie that has "God Only Knows" as its "theme" song gets major points in my book. -

The only time I've ever cried was during, strangely enough, The Lord of the Rings: Return of the King. To explain: the scene on top of Minas Tirith, when King Elessar (:woot) and his Lady Arwen walk down that path towards the four Hobbits, and the Hobbits start to bow to their new King (obviously). But then, bam! King Elessar says "No, we bow to you" lor something akin to it, and the whole giant top of Minas Tirith all bows and etc. to the Hobbits. A scene so epic in its epic-ness that I shed tears. I'm not kidding at all. -
Can we submit singles (A-side and B-side) as entries? Because if that is true, a wrench is thrown into my list and I have to start including stuff like Hey Jude/Revolution and Strawberry Fields Forever/Penny Lane and She Loves You/I'll Get You and I Want To Hold Your Hand/I Saw Her Standing There and Get Back/Don't Let Me Down and Paperback Writer/Rain and...

Haha, yeah, I like to change things up, but I've taken a liking to this one...know what I mean? Thanks to everyone for the wishes, I'm gonna go kipper off pretty much for the night because of work tomorrow (early work does not bode well for a college student recovering from school), it wasn't a bad day at all. Just spent some family time. I wish, though, Mtn.Bed's scenario played out for me...of course, the element I'm missing is the lady friend. I suppose there is next year, and I'll say no more about that.

It doesn't look like it. Gasol looks like a middle-school basketball player out there, he's constantly dropping his man when he shouldn't...it's not looking too good. I'm going to credit Rivers for once for managing the "we-don't-have-Rondo" issue pretty well, the new plan e.g. spreading the floor has really been putting a wrench in the Laker's defense. If Boston pulls a comeback / road win, this series is more than over and Kobe can't get out of the Pit of Doom. Yes, he's a great player, but people will look and see that no Shaq = no Finals rings for Kobe, and that will hamper anything h

Yeah, but the last half was really the half that belonged to Clinton (in terms of the states 'played' and their constituencies). His ability to keep the lead was pretty damn impressive. -
