  1. NO.....this is NOT part of the Classic Chastain series and most likely those CC ticket holders (ie wine n cheesers) will not be offered a pre-sale. The place will be Wilco folk. I have minor problems with Chastain although it is great place to see a show. The earlier post about all the bands who hate Chastain is somewhat correct yet needs clarification. Most bands mentioned were part of the "series". People buy a package of say 8 shows. They may only care for one band but go socialize during the other 7. I have skipped many a bands I wanted to see when the single sale tickets were part
  2. urgh, Chastain in ATL. Sweet venue BUT BUT BUT noise ordinance restrictions, strict curfew, etc. at least it is not part of the Classic Chastain series. just a guess but I think tables will be removed in the pit, and chairs put down there. I'll be there, and up close so I can hear.
  3. I'm heading down to ATL to see tonight's show (and The Ryman next Friday) so will give a review and hopefully some good pics come Monday. If anyone is going tonight, I'll be the sappy old fourty something who will present Lucinda on stage a bouquet of "purple" flowers with a simple note attached "I AM YOUR JOY". Have a kind weekend freaks.
  4. go country, back when it was country... "New San Antonio Rose" Bob Wills & His Texas Playboys "Battle Of New Orleans" Johnny Horton must have "Harper Valley P.T.A." Jeannie C. Riley although 70's grab some Hank Snow, Marty Robbins "White Sport Coat", Roger Miller. then drift to Ol Blue Eyes and The Rat Pack
  5. True, one can't trust anything in orange and blue (as I type in my Georgia Bulldogs ballcap).
  6. Liz Reed is buried in Rose Hill, as is Little Martha. Both sites are very near Duane & Barry's resting spots. Macon is a great all-day visit if anyone is heading south on I-75. The Ga Music Hall of Fame, and the H&H Restaurant are two other must stop places in Macon.
  7. Good Times Just stumbled upon the website and thought some may like to watch online. If ever in Macon, Ga try and stop by the house/museum. Kirk and Kirsten West are kind hosts.
  8. didn't Neil Young even drop his stance and start having corporate tour sponsorships? like many of you, I have changed my stance on artists granting songs to advertising... but please keep the product somewhat within the realm of the song, and your own personality. when I hear Blue Sky (one of my all-time fav songs) I wish I didn't think of menopause
  9.
