  1. Yes, see my edit above. I was hoping to have the edit in before you replied. I'm going to try and grab em Sat online. Parents lived in G-town a few years back. I guess I'll stay downtown for the weekend, and see some live music and eat me some ribs. Good Times. If we get tix lets meet at Germantown Commissary pre-show.....i need their deviled eggs to fuel my soul.

  6. I gave it a few listens last night. Overall I dig the album. I would say only "Two Hearts" is the weakness, maybe "Off Broadway" at least IMO. "The Sun Also Sets" is beautiful. I love "Pearls" and "Everybody Knows". "Tears of Gold" is one hellava great "country tune" which XM12 I bet will move into their rotation. Even the much talked about "Halloween Head" seems to work for me. Well placed on the album.
  7. Man that gave me goosebumps as well making next Tuesday's ATL show seem even further away. Great first post and welcome.

  10. in the recent Uncut mag, during a RA interview he states: - he wants to do crazy jamming stuff but he forgets that highways is respectably a Country label. - he says that his label told him to keep things acoustic and light. whereas he wants to do crazy jamming, several voices singing different parts of songs, big collaborations I'm digging the "Reckoning" set-up. 5/16/07 has been in my rotation for weeks.
  11. Anyone know about his contract with Lost Highway? Maybe the boxset would fulfill the contract. Just recently he mentioned he felt "tied-down" by Lost Highways.
  12. "Given a choice, I'll take a shed over an arena in a heartbeat" I agree, but being only 2.5 hours south of Nashville I saw many shows at Starwood but didn't really like the place. Mostly having to do with the location, and in my early days over-the-top cops especially in the lots. However IMO, this will be Good Times for me. Although I don't see many bands who play sheds and arenas anymore it appears these bands will have to play downtown at the Gaylord. Now post-shows I can head up the hill to the Bluegrass Inn and hopefully catch Hillbilly Casino or the many other great bands who play

  15. The guy who handles the "bumper" music for Fox baseball on the weekends is a regular poster on phantasytour . com message boards, mainly the Widespread Panic board. He's been doing the job for several years now and asks for requests on the message boards. I haven't seen him posting much lately but he seems to post and ask for requests more so when the playoffs begin. I hope one day The Weather Channel grabs a Wilco album for their montly rotation. http://www.weather.com/common/survey/feedb...tml?from=footer Request it here ^^^^^^^

  21. LOL, never forget watching Tom on the "ol picture tube" one night while under......lets say a clean psychedelic when someone metioned to watch his eyebrows continually move. Man, I sat there transfixed for an hour.
  22. I caught the show Friday in Atlanta. Great show and heavy on "The Search" which is fine with me as I am really liking the new album. During the encore they did The Stones "19th Nervous Breakdown", do they play this tune much? Anway looking forward to tonights SV show in Chattanooga. Opening band is "The High Strung". The singer (assume songwriter) never did much for me but his geetar playing is alright. The bass player and drummer simply rock. Great little trio, imo.
