  1. I've seen Broken Social Scene there before. The venue was muggy as hell and poorly laid out, but actually sounded really good.
  2. Awesome, thanks. Maybe I will make it on time! (knocks on wood)
  3. Anybody have any info on set times for tonight? My tickets are at will call and I know I'm going to be running late...
  4. "If I Don't Come Home You'll Know I'm Gone" is a great album, maybe even tops for me this year. You're going to be in good hands.
  5. Nice! I saw that on Herohill yesterday and remembered your name from VC. It is a big deal, Herohill is about as good as it gets for Canadian indie-rock bloggin'. Congrats on the exposure.
  6. $20 and I believe they had 2T and 4T in Portland ME.
  7. I'm going to take a stab in the dark and say - Dr. Didg? http://www.drdidg.com/

  9. FWIW, McCartney played Mull of Kintyre in Halifax on Saturday night (with the Halifax Citadel Pipes Band), but I guess it's normal for him to play it Canada (?). Also noteworthy, he busted out Day Tripper apparently for the first time since Candlestick Park (Aug 1966). Wow.
  10. Very safe and predictable short list. One intelligent hip hop release? Check. One francophone release? Check. One female fronted band? Check. Some adult alternative? Check.
  11. Chad VanGaalen or Brood would be my picks. Everyone and their dog seems to love the Plaskett album, so it wouldn't surprise me if he won. The Deep Dark Woods exclusions is definitely surprising.
  12. I've always wanted to play a show in Sault Ste Marie, it was my birthplace. Anyways, congrats on the new release and look me up if you ever plan to tour out east... http://www.myspace.com/TirelessSedans

  15. I'm excited to be going to see him in Sackville, New Brunswick (of all places) tonight! It's no Lolla, but check out this little festival - http://www.sappyrecords.com/sappy_festival.htm .
  16. I can confirm two tapers were present, one was a local, one was from upstate (?) NY. Provided it turned out, this recording will definitely surface at some point. Be patient.
  17. From the same source as above: Gigantic Entertainment PROUDLY Presents Wilco July 13 @ Fredericton Playhouse $38+service fees All-Ages 8pm Ticket info later this week, onsale in May. The Fredericton Playhouse is a very small venue by Wilco standards. http://www.theplayhouse.nb.ca/
