My dad has all the Creem magazines, they're really fun to look through. But RS really is a piece of shit, truly awful. I have a subscription to Uncut and Paste. I buy Under The Radar but I feel as though they've gone crazy on their reviews. Wilco a 5/10 and the new Modest Mouse 9/10, to me that's pretty ridiculous.

I've said this quite a few times before here on threads with similar topics. Wilco will get their due twenty thirty years down the road and I completely agree with the VU comparison. Wilco will be remembered as one of the best live bands ever imo and one of the best bands during this time period, Sky Blue Sky and all (I think eventually people will understand SBS and give it the respect it deserves). I honestly don't understand what you're saying, from my knowledge (which could be wrong) I always though that a diminished triad is just a root (in this case B ) a flatened 3rd and flatened 5th, making the notes of the Bdim B D F.

Ok well thanks for the compliments abuharabi. Yes I am 16 and I just really love theory and just retain alot of it. But to be politically correct major chords only fall on the 3rd, 6th, and 7th only in NATURAL MINOR scales. In a HARMONIC version of a minor scale you sharpen the 7th note. So in an A minor harmonic you sharpen the G to a G#. This allows you to make the 5th chord, E, major as well. As well as adding quite a few more possibilities. Now in the MELODIC version of the minor scale the 6th is sharpened, in A minors case the F to an F#. This allows you to play even more major chor

Well first off in the key of C there would be no Bm it would be Bdim. The relative minor for the key of C and for every other major key is on the sixth or submediant note, in the key of C this is A. So Am would look like this. Am, Bdim, C, Dm, Em, F, G, Am. So the major chords fall on the 3rd, 6th and 7th spots.

To me the song sounds really 90's to me. It has a really Beatles-esque bridge which makes it go from a "good" song to a "really good" song, I enjoy it.
