  1. Welcome to the boards. Here's "Someone Else's Songs" http://www.owlandbear.com/2007/03/06/hoste...rs-compilation/
  2. No really I can't believe how awesome this cd really is. Recorded in 1971 and the sound quality is this good? Such a great live album.
  3. Hm that does sound disappointing. My dad is going to see them in Toronto on Saturday, last night of the tour.
  4. I bought the CD/DVD combo for $17.99 today. It's pretty great!
  5. Yeah thanks groselician it looks and sounds pretty awesome!
  6. SBS has all the elements of a grower album. It doesn't hit you right away, and for all the people that dislike it keep giving it another chance it's really worth it. Wilco keeps on reinventing themselves with each album and in another 3 or 4 years we'll hear a different Wilco. People always compare Wilco's records against eachother because aside from the obvious member changes they were going for something completely different on each album so I think it's sort of unfair. Wilco is one of the few bands right now that are going to remembered in musical history IMO and SBS is just another part of
  7. I have the solo pretty much figured out too.
  8. Hahahhaa thanks. Here's the guitar solo play really vibrato or with a whammy bar. e --------------12----12-12h14----12h14-14-12----------------12-16---12-12h14------------ b 12h14---------------------------------------------14h15p14--------------------------14-10~- g ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- d ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- a ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- e ---------------------
  9. Yeah Either Way pretty much sums up the record in one song. Mellow, Jeffs lyrics and vocals being awesome, an awesome Nels solo. It rocks!
  10. The only that annoys me about Either Way and You Are My Face is that they both end and start with a D chord. I dunno if I'm weird but it's just irritating!
  11. I really love John Mayer, he's a great guitar player. Coheed and Cambria. Moneen was the first band I saw live and they pretty much have the most fun live show I've ever seen. I still really like their two first records. Polyphonic Spree, I love catchy pop songs... Elton John, dunno if I feel guilty about him but I sure as hell love him!
  12. Ok well here's another tab to a new Wilco song. I'll post the chords in a little bit. This song is great and here it is! Intro lead e ----------------------------------- b 5h7-5----------------------------- g ---------6------------------------- d -----------------6-6h7--4~------- a ------------------------------------ e ------------------------------------ Break solo (play it choppy) e -----------------------------------7---7/9--7/5---7---------------------------------------------------------------------- b 5--5-------5-5h7~--------5--5---------------------------5--5-----5h7-----------
  13. Ok well this is what I have so far, the second solo where Nels goes and shreds I have no clue what he's doing but I'll post what I have. Side With The Seeds Bb The tires tar black Ab-------------------Bb The blacktop cracks Bb Leaves fall through Ab----------Gb--------------Bb Dark green enough to be blue Bb When the mysteries we believe in Ab----------------Gm-------------Fm Aren't dreamed enough to the true Ebm--------------------Ab Some side with the leaves Eb----------------------Bb Some side with the seeds e ---------------------- b 8-6-8-8/11-6h8p6-- g ---------------------- d
  14. This album is really really great I am pleasantly surprised.
  15. Ok well since I'm tabbing out most of the new record I thought I'd put this song in a nice little package. Thanks alot to "ginandcigarettes" who tabbed out the chords and fingerpicking and I just tabbed out the really awesome solo. Enjoy!
  16. Ok I think I have the chords for this song pretty good and I have Jeff's badass solo too! For the Bm/D Jeff plays a G chord instead live so just play what you feeeeeeeel. You Are My Face D I remember my mother's sister's husband's brother Bm/D Working in the gold mine, full time, filling in for sunshine D Filing in to tight lines, ordinary beehives Em The door screams i hate you, hate you G Hanging 'round my blue jeans D Why is there no breeze? D No currency of leaves Am No current through the water while Am No feelings i can see D I trust no emotion D I believe in locomotion Em I've t
  17. They played here in the Sault maybe a month ago, they were pretty good put on a good show.
  18. Kalle

    my homework.

Yeah I completely agree that Garageband is unprofessional and at my high school we use Finale. I'm going to music school too "Walken"!
  19. Richard Manuel is probably the best "rock" piano player ever and The Band are probably Wilco's biggest influence but I really do think Wilco is one of the few bands that are making music right now that will be relevant 20 or 50 years from now.
  20. I know how to play this I'll post it when I get home.
