I probably should. I got away with only $20 last week but then again, the farthest we drove was about 5 miles.

So does that mean I should probably fill the tank up today while gas is only $3.89?

I know people who make $250K who live paycheck to paycheck and I know people who make $30K and have money in the bank. People need to live within their means. Again, I'm not saying that all cases of living paycheck to paycheck are due to greed.

Most of the middle class that lives paycheck to paycheck do it out of greed and overspending. I'm not saying every case is like that, but I would guestimate that about 75% are. People don't realize that they should have about 7-8 months worth of take home salary in the bank for an emergency, like losing your job. Well, they realize it but think it will never happen to them, so why not buy that plasma tv that they don't need. A vacation is more important than a savings account. I've been there, I know how it is. Some friends of mine are taking the whole family on a cruise this winter.

When I was in high school a couple of kids went around and stole about 300 election signs from all over and put all of them on the front lawn of the high school in the middle of the night. The also decorated it will all of these lawn ornaments they could find:

I didn't puke after my wisdom teeth, but I did after I got my tonsils out. I have a sensitivity to Tylenol 3 w/ codeine and it makes me throw up. So it's a lot of fun when your throat hurts like hell and you go to take your pain meds and then throw up before they can start working. It feels really freaking great, let me tell you.

I haven't seen bumper stickers either but I have seen a lot of Obama t-shirts on people. I've seen a few Obama yard signs around, but no McCain yard signs. I think there's someone out there kicking them over and lighting the rich people on fire.

I can see them saying that they support stem cell research and not clarifying they type of stem cell research. That way it can't come back to bite them in the ass.

Because the rich and powerful are the ones still driving the nice cars and living in the nice homes and sending their kids to expensive schools. People just need someone to blame and it's always easier to blame someone better off than you. Plus, I think a lot of people who are really hurting right now see the government bailing out the airlines, freddie/fannie, AIG, and probably the auto industry next, and feel that they aren't doing enough to help them (the general public) personally. They see it as "great, I have a shitty job because that's all that's available and now I have to pay extr

I'm middle class and I don't feel like I'm being pounded into the dirt. But I can see why some middle class folks feel like they are. If you worked in an industry that isn't doing so hot and there were plant closings/lay offs, etc and you lost your home because you weren't able to make the mortgage payment. I feel for people who, due to stuff beyond their control, are hurting. I can't feel bad for someone who brought this on themselves due to greed and over spending.

I was just going to post something like this. When we bought our house we got a fixed rate mortgage and put 20% down. We saved up to be able to buy a house and didn't buy one beyond our means. Just because the bank says they'll loan you $500K to buy a house, doesn't mean you have to spend that much. Our old neighbors bought their house with zero down and bought the most expensive house they could get a loan for. Needless to say, it's now sitting empty and has been foreclosed. I can't speak for anyone else, but I do feel the condescending nature of certain posts. There's nothing that anyone can say to get me to change my mind about my faith, but it is interesting to me to see where other people come from. I just don't like when people refer to me as a believer as stupid. It might not be directed at me personally, but it is directed at me. Know what I mean?
