  1. now imagine that it says jeff instead of def and below it says pour some tweedy on me.
  2. yeah, i heard that... i've only ever heard hmd.
  3. i saw that when i found the soundtrack listing on amazon and thought it strangely coincidental...
  4. awesome show...blew nashville's show out of the water. tweedster was in great spirits and there weren't too many idiots in the crowd. hope the recordings show up... also, congrats to sarahc: you got to hear wishful thinking. cool.
  5. anybody want to guess which song he leads off with? my guess is she's a jar.
  6. so, i'm listening to the shows recorded in austin from last week, great recording by the way, and tweedy starts playing this song i've never heard and i instantly start liking it. somebody in the know tell me about this song. also, i can't get enough of acoustic spiders... looking forward to hearing tweedy again tonight in my backyard.
  7. i'll be there with bells on.
  8. this morning i stopped by the allergy clinic to get shots, and i was watching the today show. there was a short segment on brand extension (i.e. - dora the explorer branching out into making and marketing perfume), and lo and behold "monday" was playing in the montage. later in the same montage, they were playing counting crows. all i can say is someone has good musical taste at nbc...
  9. i don't really view that album as anti-christian, but i definitely view it as anti-organized religion

    A.M

this guy really likes a.m. i wished i had found in when it came out; i wouldn't have wasted my time with other "music."
  11. yeah and if you ever get the chance to see him work live, solo, you may see how kotche could do this stuff that you're reading. pretty talented. it made me look at the drumset in a new light when i saw him at work in nashville a few nights ago... i'm not sure, but i think he even used live crickets... there was something that sounded like crickets in many little black boxes that he put a mic over and used them as percussion.
  12. hey, were those crickets in the boxes that glenn opened up halfway through one his "songs?"
  13. didn't some article published in an english rag say that it was one of the songs that was completed? so maybe it was recorded in the studio and will be released on an ep or something. i like the song and although we already have a live version on st, i'd like to hear it produced...
  14. thanks for doing that legwork sarahc. the knoxville show will be a good one.
  15. posters and cds, vinyl, and books were sold in nashville...didn't see any shirts.

    Radio King

pecan pie is about sexual hunger to me in my mind. give it another listen. there's more there than i want some pie... it's among my favorite songs.
  17. yeah just plan on going and yelling all these titles out to tweedy. that'd be great. and today is opposite day, by the way. hey, but stepping out of the jaded realm of sarcasm for a moment, that would be a great setlist. (disclaimer - the opposite day remark does not apply to the most recent statement above.)
  18. you guys should check this link that whiskey found here... it has a photo of that setlist that tweedy was talking about last night- and has songs on it that we could have heard. man.
  19. any recorders???? (please say yes...that was an awesome version of spiders.)
  20. you'd be right on that assumption...last night in nashville he told a guy he wanted to fight him. he then showed us how he would do it (a la the youtube video with the twist/chop/boot). pretty comical. by the way, sky blue sky is the name, according to jeff tweedy; he told the audience last night. now, i'm not a bettin' man, but i'd bet the tweedster knows what he's gonna name an album.
  21. i hope we have some tapers down under!
  22. i have also yet to receive them...also ordered them from musictoday presale. i live just outside of knoxville.
