  1. ok, calexico, you are killing me with the comedy. i'm a relative newbie to these boards and don't remember you posting that much till all this sbs stuff was being leaked. anyway, all that to say, i hope your day job has something to do with comedy writing or humor. cheers.
  2. the high heat is from the wilco book cd. basically just "outtakes" from the agib sessions (there may be a better way to describe it than outtakes). there are a couple or three memorable/listenable songs on it. the rest are the beginning of "conversations" that evolve into songs to be found on agib. pretty neat, but def. for fans only. can be found at you friendly neighborhood bittorrent site.
  3. anybody notice that there are two commercials out right now with bradly drawn boy songs (from about a boy soundtrack) on the tube right now? i just saw one on discovery for saturn and the other i can't remember, but i remember noting seeing one last week, thinking, "huh, that's a bdb song." weird. he must have just licensed this out. good for him, i guess. anyway, thanks for letting me share.
  4. as you alluded, i don't think there's a way around this fact of life, mate. there are alot of 'em out there. just breeding more. they like to eat brains and can only be killed with head shots.
  5. i am sitting here reading these things that brianjeremy is saying and getting a little miffed. but then i read all these comments about creepy muppets and kitties and masturbation, and then i remember why i read and post to this board. now i've just given more justification to brianjeremy in admitting my miffed-ness, which, in turn, reminds him why he reads and posts to this board. so, my question is: are kitties somehow killed in this weird circle of justification?
  6. you're probably right. in fact, i would prefer if they continued operating in this fashion. is this bad/selfish?
  7. this is good stuff. i have to say that i'm a little surprised the arrangement seems to be virtually the same as the live arrangement we've been hearing (either way/walken), although walken seems a little slower. note that i said surprised and not disappointed. i guess i just expected a different arrangement to happen in the studio. you are my face reminds me of good golden smog material. and i like it. thanks be to the leaker of said songs. i can't help but wonder why/how these three specifically? rock on with your bad selves (with a little help from some unreleased wilco).
  8. yeah...i've had "fun" (meaning diverted) over the past few hours this afternoon wondering if in fact the album had indeed leaked. good sport. good fun. cheers napoleon. now if japan can just demand that it be leaked once again, this thread would be complete.
  9. ok. my emotions are being toyed with here...
  10. was it a false alarm that it is up on oink?
  11. i want you to hit me as hard as you can... i just found another thread with this info on it.
  12. this whole thread has been music to my ears...including all the incoherent babbling that we can continue til may 15. it will only be a matter of (short) time now. by the way, can somebody fill me in, very briefly, as to what oink is.

    Glenn Solo

i saw kotche solo opening for tweedy in nashville a few weeks ago. his performance made me look at the drum kit in a different light.
  14. yes, but we are discussing wilco's discography. the "worst" wilco album, according to even our boy chicago here, am, is still very damn good. ask yourself, does wilco have a bad album? will sbs be bad album? my answer to both is no. imo, wilco has yet to put out material, in 10+ years of recording, that i don't like (the only exception being found on summerteeth: my darling). in fact, i have a hard time chasing down and digesting other "good" music simply b/c it's not wilco. so i just lose interest shortly and listen to wilco again. maybe this is a personal prroblem...
  15. this one's a little out there... the beach boys - magazine called sunset
  16. gross. i hope that doesn't catch on, but good luck to you and your desires.
  17. this was the first time i caught this. twas excellent. 1) is this whole show available anywhere in audio format? 2) i realize this may be polarizing, but did anyone else think oberst (of bright eyes) a weird little dude?
  18. just got an email from amazon about a new product: "Product Description From the award-winning Americana songwriter Jeff Tweety, comes the first songbook complete with several of the group Wilco's greatest songs. The book comes complete with lyrics, piano, guitar tab, and several pictures submitted by Wilco themselves." that's right. tweedy is spelled tweety in the description. check it out...but it's not yet available for purchase.
