  1. i've always thought every show should open with Airline to heaven. jeff starting off solo with the rest of the band clapping their hands in the air and slowly coming into it verse by verse
  2. not that i know of yet, but i'm sure there'll be other recordings
  3. torrent: http://www.dimeadozen.org//torrents-details.php?id=174419
  4. > Now ^^ that sounds suitably interesting... Jon Anderson, Jimmy Page and John Paul Jones... what does it sound like?? its pretty cheesy 80s pop. lots of synths and big drums, but the style of page/jones can be heard. JPJ even does the lead vocals on 2 of the tracks. i have it on vinyl, but should rip it to CD someday soon.. dont think it ever came out on CD
  5. > I said 'currently.' Of course The Beatles still to this day are a more relevant and influential band than anyone else. most of Summerteeth sounds like Sgt Pepper and Magical mystery tour - influential indeed
  6. > This cassette came from New Zealand - pressed in the mid 1980s - so I wonder if this has something to do with it. in that case, it should be labelled "lid ziplin"
  7. i like the bit on the 2003 dvd during the earls court footage where some girl holds up a sign saying "led zepplin"... uh, it was already 1975. thats so 68/69 era naming
  8. no love for In through the out door yet?. i assume In the evening will show up soon and Kashmir too
  9. i doubt they'll play everything they recorded. the no repeats thing might just be a way of saying the sets are different everynight (which they are).. some rarities will probably be thrown on each show though
  10. thanks for the photos. the green laser light photo hints that page might do his solo that leads into achilles last stand or in the evening.
  11. looks like When you wake up feeling old might return
  12. it was only done once solo in june 99. cant remember if it was acoustic though, cause jeff played electric on some of those gigs. i'll try and check tonight
  13. > I wasn't even a twinkle in my mother's eye yet when he died well, my mum said she had a tear in her eye. i was only 3 years old at time, but mum was big big Beatles fan and saw them here in 64 as a screaming young girl at festival hall. RIP John. she introduced me to the band at Day 1
  14. you can find some info here: http://forums.viachicago.org/index.php?act=Members
  15. i should mention seeing Airline live. jeff playing solo during the first verse, while the rest of the band have their hands over their heads clapping, and getting us to do the same. great mome t
  16. i just got one of my worries over today (a witness in court to something i got dragged into for no reason, that didnt even happen), so hopefully things might settle down soon... just a few things left
  17. a chronological live album would be good... all the way back to 1994 till 2007 KT only represented their live set at the time
  18. i usually have one large black one in the morning... and the girl at the counter gives it an extra shot cause she knows i like it strong (doesnt even charge me for the extra, heehee) oh, and who's that on your avatar photo?
  19. a couple of others.. 1) i knew a person for while by face. then i saw her waiting to get into the first melbourne out the front of the venue - now we're good friends 2) the excitement of listening and recording the first stream of SBS earlier in the year
  20. > "She Don't Use Jelly" there's a song that takes me back to the end of high school... flaming lips cover, i assume?
