  1. That's it. I should've thought about the archive. Thanks!
  2. I have a copy of the Raleigh show, if I can find time this weekend, I'll try to post it/send it. (if I can remember how...) The music is the same but different lyrics. Granted, I'm talking live solo acoustic, not the studio recording.
  3. Tweedy played it in Raleigh when I saw him there about 10 years ago. I loved it then and it was cool experiencing the song develop into Sky Blue Sky.
  4. Indeed. Re the Kevin G/Hixter beef: I don't believe it is possible to explain rationally how the country would be better off with a Trump, rather than a Clinton, presidency. Unless someone is the stereotypical ignorant rube or will personally benefit from a Trump presidency in a significant way, i.e. financially, it boggles my mind that anyone prefers him. This is beyond partisan politics.
  5. No longer? The dude has always been Janice from accounting. Hell, he's the O.J.
  6. Or will Hillary confirm that she will not copulate with Trump, even though he is a rat?
  7. Trump isn't going to keep us out of war, won't end fracking or raise the minimum wage. Nor will he support most of Sarandon's concerns. Clinton will. The Supreme Court alone should be enough for a "liberal" or " progressive" like Sarandon to support Clinton over trump. I stand by my statement that she sounds like an idiot.
  8. I agree, but I can't grasp how a Democrat/liberal/leftist/progressive/etc. could see a Clinton presidency as worse than a Trump presidency.
  9. Sad, but true, Lou. Hopefully not true to the degree that provides President Trump. I saw Sarandon talking about that nonsense on Bill Maher. It made her sound like an idiot.
  10. "Republicans have a massive electoral math problem that has nothing to do with Donald Trump" https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/the-fix/wp/2016/05/02/republicans-have-a-massive-electoral-map-problem-that-has-nothing-to-do-with-donald-trump/?wpmm=1&wpisrc=nl_p1most-partner-1
  11. I found this interesting. They sounded okay to be but I am not a grindcore fan. If someone truly is, could you please give an assessment? Is the band decent and is the singer good? http://www.npr.org/2016/05/04/476508139/this-aint-your-mamas-grindcore-band-its-his
  12. The concept of someone doing anything to increase the chance that Donald Trump becomes president is bizarre. Whether it be vote for Trump, not vote at all, vote for someone other than Clinton, disparage Clinton, or anything else that could hurt Clinton's/help Trump's chances. I can't grasp why any thinking person, regardless of their politics, would want Trump over Clinton. It is over my head (and it sure does not feel nice).
  13. I have mine in a Super Quality Strong Case (not the actual brand name). It has saved my Classic on more than one occasion.
  14. I've been wondering about this issue, too. I love my 160 iPod Classic. I bought a new one about a year and a half ago. Nothing beats the easy to use controller and having every song that I own in one place that I can carry around. Putting my Classic on shuffle is bliss.

Add McCartney to that list. I saw him a couple years ago and there was no physical struggle. I hope I'm that active in my 70's. I'd love for them to play it, just to see the reaction on the internet!

Does anyone know if they are playing "One in a Million" this tour?
  17. Everything you posted is true, except the part about Bjork being in the RnRHoF.
  18. Dave Rawlings Machine. My wife and I have been excited for days, but even more so after reading this review of the previous show. Damn, it's going to be a night of musical bliss. http://showsigoto.com/dave-rawlings-machine-live-review/
  19. Eloquent and heartfelt remembrance from Patterson Hood: http://www.npr.org/sections/therecord/2016/04/08/473500599/his-songs-were-carved-in-stone-patterson-hood-remembers-merle-haggard
  20. I was coming on VC to RIP the Hag. I got into him as a young boy as my mom was a fan. I'm going to tell her he died, even though she won't remember, she'd want to know. My wife and I went to see him last year on a lark, thinking it might be the last chance. So glad we went. I hadn't seen him in 30 years and wanted to hear that Hag drop one more time. He played a short set, maybe 75 minutes. Toward the end, he said "I can still do it, but I can't do it as long", then beamed a huge grin. I was prepared for a short concert and had resigned myself to not hearing The Fugitive, my favorite, but damn
  21. When was the last time a presidential candidate implied with the emoted seriousness of a high schooler doing Shakespeare that he fucks rats and clearly said with the same theatrical seriousness that he wouldn't fuck his nomination rival? Talk about embarrassing. Didn't a VCer attend a Cruz rally not long ago? In case you somehow missed it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BueBh90vME0
  22. Interesting. I've visited the U.K. 7 times and on none of the trips have I had my train stop because someone had jumped in front of a speeding train. Clearly, I have been quite lucky to never have a delay, in spite of the frequency of the "suicide by train" British cultural phenomenon
  23. I agree with all of the above. Since problems are due to negligence on the shooter's part, that is why completing a rigorous gun safety course and passing a gun safety exam in order to qualify for a gun ownership license that would enable someone to legally own a gun should be federal law.
