  1. Thanks for the Gusoline Alley tip. $3 pints! This is from their myspace: " Tuesday $3 pints (includes Guinness, Boddingtons, Belhaven, Magic Hat #9, Warsteiner, Bell’s Winter White, and Woodchuck)". That works for us. We might not worry about getting in the venue early and hang with Gus!
  2. An excellent show. When we heard the opening strains of ELT, we knew it would be an excellent night. We were in the second row of the pit but since there were no 1st row seats in front of us, my wife and I stood against the stage right in front of Pat. It's one thing to be against the stage at a GA show but against the stage at a reserved show when no one is pushing up against you is sweet. No need to reiterate what's been already said. No complaints with the set list, a kick ass mix. I was smiling the whole time. I loved how Jeff was surprised by the banjo. HA! Conor and the band! Excellent
  3. While on hold today with the Kennesaw, GA REI store I was treated to "You Never Know".
  4. But in Asheville you won't get the Murry and Rhett opening sets like you will in Atlanta...
  5. If this is true then Rhett is going to play his solo set after Murry's but not join the band for the 97s set after wards. That will piss me off in Indy on the 23rd.
  6. I sold them. Sorry but I am unable to locate the close function on this new setup.
  7. I am on board with this statement.
  8. Being There, Summerteeth and Yankee Hotel Foxtrot are all classics. It is difficult for me to rank them. I'd have to say that they are equal. The rest bring up second place.
  9. I fixed it. docarter1@msn.com The 'o' seems to be necessary.
  10. I read about the film in Rolling Stone, shit, what seems like a year ago and have been wondering when it would be released. I am excited to see it. I hope to hell that it makes it to Tampa. The RS article made it sound very cool.
  11. I just wanted to make it clear that, despite the above exchange, these tickets are still available. Thanks.
  12. I will email you. If I'd have looked in the 'need tickets' thread, I'd have saved time.
  13. My 2 Portland tickets are now available. Please contact me ASAP at docarter1@msn.com if interested
  14. I wore my Wiilco shirt on my flight to New Zealand. On the LAX to Brisbane leg, one of the flight attendants said to me, "Wilco! All right. Great band. I love that Jeff Tweedy." That is all.
  15. YES!! We will see Wilco on the 19th in Lewiston, NY, Wilco the 21st in Royal Oak, Neko Case the 22nd in Pontiac AND THEN The Old 97s on the 23rd in Indianapolis!! WHOOT!
  16. My wife and I will be there. When I saw the 'An evening with Wilco' last week, we were even more excited!
  17. Cryptique, you are correct that they can't come to every town and it is up to the fan to road trip or not. The last time Wilco played in the Tampa Bay area was February of 2005 but that hasn't stopped my crazy ass from seeing them 12 times since then!!
  18. I see your point, cryptique, and it is well taken but I can understand someone in a major metropolitan area like San Diego not understanding how 6 shows can be played in their state but not one near them. I am sure that the tour schedules have logic to them, just not the logic that certain fans want used!
  19. You'll 'what' and post it tomorrow ?
  20. I have been quietly reading the updates on this thread and trying to fight off impending sadness. Now I am sad. We await the details. A true talent gone.
  21. Jaysus, you are a hardcore dickhead. After several folks castigating you, you are still incapable or unwilling to say, "In retrospect, I sounded like an ass. I can understand the frustration you are feeling. At least you are getting to see Wilco. Enjoy the show.". Is it that important to you to be 'right'? I am finished trying to change your mind. If the pm function was working, I'd say pm me if you want to keep this going. Since it isn't, feel free to respond however you like, I'm done. Do something you enjoy this weekend.
  22. What I meant by that was that Lindh joined the Taliban but Cal joined the Irish navy. Big difference!
  23. PB808, I can understand your feelings. 6 shows in CA but not one in the SD area would be hard to swallow if I lived in San Diego. Hell, I can't figure out why they haven't been to the Tampa Bay area since February of 2005. I don't think that they are looking for big paydays, though. I hope that you'll be able to work out a road trip or they get to San Diego soon as they are tearing it up live these days.
