I don't think it is that hard to figure out--people eat stuff that is bad for them because they can, and because they don't realize (or choose not to care because perhaps it doesn't cost them anything) that eating something healthier is cheaper in the long run. I mean, why would they? If they don't have health insurance and they are poor, then medicaid/medicare will cover their health problems, just like folks who smoke and end up with lung cancer. Granted eating shitty is a little different from being addicted to nicotine, but the end result is the same, isn't it? I honestly do not believe

Politico is a big fan of the Washington Times, the Post's competitor in the DC Metro area.

I didn't get one. I couldn't find the one I wanted, that says TastyKake on the front, and then Markakis on the back. So I remain Markakis free.

It so goes up my butt sideways that people bought Priuses (to complement their gigantic SUVs) just to ride in the HOV lane. Crazy making, that's what that is.

Caliber and I were at the Red Sox/Orioles game today at Camden Yards. I thought the sox were really missing their energy through most of the game, and Josh Beckett seemed to throw A LOT of pitches (and not enough strikes) but they pulled it out in the 11th! The strangest thing about the game, though, was that for probably the first time EVER, I was at a game that easily had as many (maybe more!) Orioles fans than Red Sox fans!

So, how much did that cost the voters of MN?

And as awful as RI drivers are, they will also give you a hand gesture (or two). Seriously, Virginia drivers just will not acknowledge when you do something nice for them. Don't even get me started on VA drivers of Priuses.
