Jeff solo Fake Plastic Trees question
Three dollars and 63 cents replied to thagle's topic in Just A Fan
1/29 as in two nights ago. He was playing it over in New Zealand as part of Seven Worlds Collide recently, so that's probably why he's playing it now, since it's so fresh in his head. I'm really looking forward to hearing a solo version of it when the recordings surface, because I loved the SWC version. Hopefully he'll still be playing it in March, too! -

Damn, I would've had 29, 7 more than I had on Tuesday. -

I was just thinking, "Didn't I start a thread about this awhile ago? Nah, must've been on another forum." Glad I'm not going crazy I'm still working my way through a stack of new CDs I've gotten recently, but I definitely need to order this. -

Bruce Springsteen 2009 Tour Dates

It's not a huge stadium, but it's a stadium just the same, so the sight lines aren't the best if you're more than halfway back. Also, there aren't individual seats, at least there wasn't the last time I was there. It's all bleachers, though I do think there are numbered spots for assigned seating. I no longer live in the area but grew up a few small towns over, so that's one of the places where I used to see a lot of shows when I was a teenager and in college. I never remember the sound being fantastic or horrible, but honestly, I wasn't paying attention to sound quality back when I used to go -
Oh man, the Chameleon Club is tiny. That would be a great place to see them, but I have to teach at 9 the next morning almost five hours away.

I recently signed up for Stereogum's email newsletter, "The Gum Drop," since I wanted to enter a contest on their website. This week's edition has a short interview with Tony Dekker, along with a link to download a track. Here's the interview:

I think I got at least 22. That's nothing to brag about, but it's better than I thought I did. -
I just got my email about the Calvin presale now It surprises me that they don't limit the number of tickets they allow for their presale. Technically, couldn't a show sell out before it even goes on sale to the public? I don't see that happening, but it looks like most of the good seats are already gone.
-
Row A, seat 112 My friends are probably going to be pissed that I bought a ticket without them, but considering my best friend and I haven't been speaking for the last few months, I figured I was probably better off getting my ticket myself anyway.
-
I pulled up that row M seat twice already
-
You know, check the Northampton Box Office anytime after midnight. They sometimes screw up and put tickets on sale early. I'm not sure, but I'd guess they go on sale at either 10 or 12.
-
I'm wondering if the venue and MusicToday presales are selling the same tickets. No wonder they're already gone if that's the case, since the venue presale started at 9:35.
-
Presale is only 10% of the venue, so there are plenty more going onsale Friday. I'm having a hard time pulling up even singles.
-
I signed up for their email list a few days ago. Why didn't I get an email about their presale? My friends are being indecisive and want to wait until Friday to get tickets. I'm going to check the presale, and if I pull up a good single, I'm going to get it. That makes me seem like a jerk, but I'm driving almost five hours for this show. I want a good spot!

I'm surprised he's playing in Hershey again, since he was just there in August, and it's not a major market. My dad waffled about whether or not he wanted to go, so maybe I'll offer to take him as an early Father's Day present. -
John Updike, prize-winning writer, dead at age 76 I wasn't a huge fan of his writing, be he was undeniably a powerful force in Twentieth Century American lit.
-
Nels needs to do a show up here. It's your turn to drive 12 hours I caught myself wondering if there's any chance Nels would open these shows, since his solo album is out soon. It's wishful thinking on my part for sure, but it would be cool.

The STATE is coming The STATE is coming!!!!
Three dollars and 63 cents replied to WITHIK's topic in Tongue-Tied Lightning
I've never even considered buying a TV show on DVD, but if this does ever finally come out, I'll buy it right away. I loved The State so much, and I can't believe it just disappeared. It should've been a cult classic! -
No. Especially since I'm not a guy
-
I was wondering this, too. Public onsale starts Friday, but NBO is supposed to have a presale, too, which should be the same day as MusicToday's. I'm shocked that tickets are only $25!

Is a winter residency '09 happening?

My 30th birthday is on the Friday of my spring break week. Come on, Wilco, I can't possibly make it any easier for you to play a show on my birthday Seriously, though, the only time I'd be able to travel between now and mid-May is March 7-15, and I'd be shocked if they announced any shows for that time. Seeing Jeff once or twice will have to hold me over until summer.
